Eh, this isn't the place for a debate, but since PC games rarely offer Demos to try their downloadable games out before you buy, pirating them first is a legitimate option. If you like it, buy it and support the devs, but if you don't, just delete and move on.

Note: trying it out doesn't mean putting 200 hours in your torrented copy of Fallout

It seems to have improved the room, though i havent actively compared the room with and without the panels.

HAHAHA. The subs are Dayton Audio DCS450-4 18" with PE plate amps in a sealed box. The speakers are Vintage Baby Advent IIs. The amp is an old Pioneer vsx-515 that needs to be replaced. The CD player is an old JVC xl-z1050. Turn-table support from a Pro-ject Speedbox and a Pro-ject pre-amp. The turntable not seen is a Pro-ject Debut Carbon. Audio card in the RIG is an ASUS STX.

Nope, I got 5 free panels from a friend of mine. His dad gave them to him but he was moving so he gave them to me. I would have measured if i had actually planned on sound treating the room.

Do you realize that if you don't do it properly, you're more likely to make the room sound worse?

I was aware of that for over deadening a room but, i didn't think I could really screw it up if i didn't have enough. Which i assume this is not enough. You have a link where i can look at some solid info(in your opinion).

How would I go about properly doing that? Measuring, I mean. And what else would I need to do?

You use a high quality mic and play a track. Then you compare the track to the recording and put up materials to adjust the frequency response. That's the basic idea anyhow. A lot of people generally have a professional do it for them. It's usually pretty cost effective since said professionals usually know where to buy these things for a good price.

That particular album is super spotty. Some of it is good, but a lot of it is really whiney and tame for my taste. What Prada did on Punk Goes Crunk will make all of the albums slightly disappointing, though.
