Just curious, no video card? Also, could you post specs? thanks
From his linus tech tips post
I'd hate that meantime, though; I never want to be limited to a single on-board VGA port.
The CPU has integrated Intel HD Graphics and the mobo has VGA, DVI, HDMI AND DisplayPort outputs.
Ah. I can't see the DVI in the pictures, and HDMI and DisplayPort aren't easy to catch on a black I/O plate. Still, the sooner he can put a new NVIDIA card in there, the better.
He's planning on AMD. Ya, I know, Nvidia master race..... whatever...
It's weird, Im using my first AMD graphics card after a long time of using only Nvidia and it works remarkably like a well built graphics card.
Holy shit what a concept right? Fucking unbelievable.
You guys have quite the complex. Why do you think AMD cards aren't well-built?
I do, I was just joking. I think both Nvidia and AMD make powerful chips.
What? I thought PC gaming in general was master race? I have made a huge mistake...
My 2 780s crammed in the same case OP has would agree with you.
I have a single 780 (just made the jump to 1440p), and god damn it is the best purchase I've ever made.
1440p here as well, it's so pretty :-D
nvidia ist der Führer, ist nvidia die Herrenrasse, gott segnen und alle nvidia Hagel! (provided by Google Translate, and as such is properly not the optimal translation)
I'm just confused why a modern day motherboard manufacturer would still put VGA and PS/2 ports on their top-of-the-line boards.
I was thinking that myself, I'm like "I'm blind. That's the only explanation"
I was staring for a while, trying to get how he seemed to have no cables, and realized the GPU was missing.
For a second I thought he had removed it to take the picture
I think OP just has windows on both sides of the case. Don't really see the point in that but hey at least it looks tidy back there.
What does that have to do with the lack of video card?
Oh wow didn't see that there was more than 3 pictures in the album. Imgur's mobile site is kind of retarded half the time.
I see. Can you try their mobile app? I know it doesn't open automatically from Imgur links in all applications, but it might at least display the pictures pretty well.
I like to think that you only play Mirror's Edge on there.
What is your favorite color?
Honestly, orange is my least favorite color and you made it look great. Also your cable management is very clean. Also what is your reasoning behind a GPU-less build?
He/she wrote in a different post that they plan on getting an R 290 when it hits the shelves.
I heard Gordon Ramsay's voice in my head as I read the first line.
I understand not being a gamer. I didn't assume you are. I was just wondering why not even include a cheap gpu or even use an APU?
It's simply not needed if you're not a gamer. I don't play modern* games and get on fine without one.
On-board graphics might be enough for this use case.
That CPU fan looks like the stock Intel fans. If that's the case, and he has an Intel chip, they actually have surprisingly good on board graphics. Good enough to run BF3 on lowish settings with a good framerate. Which tells me, in my limited experience, that Intel onboard graphics would suffice for anyone not exclusively into gaming.
I have an i3-4330, and I'm able to run Max Payne 3, GTA IV, CS:GO, and a bunch of other games, too. Mind you, some of 'em are pretty bad (GTA IV, almost everything at minimum, 720p = 25-35fps) but some can run quite well on the integrated graphics (CS:GO medium/low @1080p = 80-110fps, Max Payne 3 medium/low @1080p = 50-60fps)
That rack under your desk holding your cables, what's it called? Also if it is from Ikea is it only compatible with that desk? I don't wanna be driliing holes in my desk. Also what case is that? I want a cool looking case but I'm not gonna lie I think leds look pretty cool. However seeing yours I think I could settle for glass panel instead of led's. Since cases with both cost way too much. Right now I was looking at the carbide 400r.
Hijacking this, where do you get those spiral tube things that hide bunches of cables? I can never figure out where to find/get those.
Here's 2 variations from Amazon that are reasonably priced:
Thanks! Although, both links seem to send me to the same product, but i'll just go with that. :D
Whoops! Here's the correct #2 xD
Yea I dunno, maybe it just wasn't fit properly. It was a showroom chair.
Window on the back panel? Ballsy dude, but looks killer
I think he likes orange, guys...
What makes you think that? haha
This is some of the best cable management I have ever seen.
I was like "damn how did he get it so clean!?? And yeah. There is no GPU... no 6 pin cables and un matching pcb haha.
Is that an IKEA Markus chair? I was unaware it came in orange... It looks fucking great in orange.
Yeah i have it in blue... I want it in orange :(
Looks like it's strictly a European availability...
Yeah, I ended up paying more for the black leather one. The blue and green looked horrible.
Bought a black one today. Am absolutely loving it.
Where does one get that multi-port SATA power cable for the hard drives?
The color scheme is really awesome, OP. Congrats on finishing this too, I'm sure you felt ecstatic. That chair is also great looking.
I envy you. I am an absolute sucker for the orange/white color combination. Very nice.
Where can I buy that cable sleeve?
Wow, I really like your rig. Really nice color scheme too.
That's some slick color coordination
Just picked up one of those chairs a few weeks ago, to replace my busted chair while looking for a replacement... not sure I'm going to replace it. Love that tall back, and the head rest.
Its all good. Than ks for pointing it out. I've been wanting to find some chairs with head rests.
The chair is great quality for the price. When I bought mine I did extensive comparisons, others didn't even come close at same prize range. 10 year warranty too. Maybe its a bit boring since its so common.
System builder here, I agree. That is some premium cabling job.
I would have have gone as far as to loop the SATA cables on the inside holes of the front intake fans. Make it look even cleaner.
I would've tied it directly 90` to the 24 pin cable so that there is no cable visible from the front.
I really like the simplicity of it all. You've got a beautiful case with some really nice wire management.
You've got some fancy ass shit right there
That chair is slick, OP. Love the color.
Your cable mgmt is a wet dream
All i saw was direct eye contact youll never be able to avoid if you forget to lock your door when you fap
Does it strike anyone else how well shot all these pictures are? That was my favorite part of this album, which is saying a lot, considering your whole setup is amazing!
How do you like that chair?
Where can I find Window kits for the 350d?
Got that same chair at IKEA last week. Solid lumbar support.
Looks nice but no video card, why dint you get a mini itx? there is so much wasted space.
Looks like Mirror's Edge, I like it!
I gave him that, its a Fujitsu Siemens keyboard
Best cable management I've ever seen on a desktop, by far. That case is so clean too.
Holy hell why dont I do cable management.
Is that the Linnmon Table Top? The 38" wide one? I was going to pick 2 of those up this weekend, but that seems much smaller than what I had in mind.
Even your cable crawlspace is super tidy. Did you get that sata data cable with the case?
Very nice! I looked at buying this case just the other day.
You can do better than a linnmon table! (I work at ikea :P)
I like your set-up. I'm debating between that board and the $200 one from Asus. I'm wondering, what were the specs of your last rig?
I have the same case and same motherboard. Good choices.
Nice build, I like the colour scheme :)
What desk is that? I'm looking for a desk like that for my room and it's perfect for it.
CX600M master race reporting in
Orange is supposed to be the color that makes you the most creative. Nice setup!
Buy a bigger desk and another monitor.
