Fucking laptops every where.

The Dell laptop is about 5ish years old, and its running Arch, mostly a server these days. The 15" MBP is my personal system, got it a few months ago (you can see my old black MB in the old photo), and the 13" MBPr is for work.

A company I worked for a few years ago had it on the wall, they were bought out and the new owners found it creepy and told me to get rid of it :) Hooray for free art!

Where did you get that amazing desk? I've been looking for one pretty much like that and isn't too pricey.. I'm almost thinking I'm going to have to build my own.

The MBPr is work's, the iPad Touch I got free, the iPod Touch was bought for me by a previous employer and I kept it when I left. The only thing in that pic that came out of my pocket (I think) is that 15" MBP.

What is the advantage to having the tower on the desk?

Less dust? Better airflow? Dunno. Mine lives on the floor and it seems to be doing fine down there.

Mine was on the floor for a few years, I put it up there but I will probably move it the floor later on. That being said the dust inside of it was pretty crazy when I moved it.

Does yours have filters? Mine does, and it appears to help a lot.

No filters, just a metal grate in front of the intake. I like the look of the case but its not very functional... That being said what do you expect from a Dell XPS?

How do you like the keyboard (the music one) been thinking about getting the same model?

I really like it. If I was more of a pianist I would bitch about it for not having weighted keys, but or what I do its great. Most of the time its a dust collector, to be honest I got it in a trade for an old HTC phone I had lol.

What did the disaster refinish look like? I've been thinking of refinishing a table, but haven't stepped up to the plate, yet.

I basically sanded off the finish of the old desk, then tried to repaint it... But my painting skills are a -1/10, so I rage quit and started shopping for a new desk. 'My fiancee and others who say the failed attempt said it looked ok, but I would be staring at a disappointment and embarrassment every time I used it. I had to get rid of it.

How much did that desk cost?
