How well are you running games at 1440p with that 7870?
Well... I'm not up-to-date with the latest games, but I've been able to play BF3 on high, however ultra is not very pleasant. I'm waiting for AMD mantle to be released for BF4 before I buy the game. Crysis 3 has to be down-res'd to 1080p for a pleasant experience ... The 7870 maxes out LoL many times over, which is what I've been playing the most lately. I don't think I'll upgrade until I start playing a game that really brings the 7870 to it's knees. It's OC'd which helps, but only slightly.
I have a 7870 right now and have been drooling over those Korean 1440p monitors for a little while now. I'm guessing my next upgrade will have to include one of those and a beefier GPU to come with it.
Well if you're curious, I was able to play the BF4 beta with my 7870 on about medium-high settings. You'd be surprised to see how much performance increase you get when you turn anti-aliasing off. Personally, I would wait out on the GPU, and spend a little extra on getting an asus/dell 1440p monitor. But that's just me, I'm not very comfortable buying unknown brands.
Yeah, I just built my current rig last summer so I'm not looking to upgrade anything big for at least a year or two. Either way, I agree, it will probably be a good idea to invest in a "legit" 1440p monitor when the time comes.
I built my rig mid '12. I'ma try to get to June '14 before upgrading GPU, get my moneys worth out of the 7870! :D My ASUS has had zero problems what-so-ever, and I've had it for about 5 months now. (you can also OC it to ~80fps vis display port, if you're interested in that kind of thing. But I like my warranty (: )
Well... What's the new camera‽
It's a 700D with the twin lens kit, these were the first photos I took with it! And my God it is, a new chair is next on my purchase list!
Awesome! I've got a T4i (650D equivalent I guess) with the 18-135 kit lens. It takes awesome pictures when you know what you're doing!
I will keep an eye out! Good luck with the build! :D
Shouldn't be much longer. Within the month, hah. I think people will like it...
I picked it because it was the cheapest optical drive at my local retailer by 1$, hahaha
