Computer Setup

No GPU? or where is it?
Looked through his build post. Looks like he's planning on the 780 ti this christmas.
Very nice choice. Right now it's a toss up between:
I would say go for the GPU. IMO, an SSD is more of a luxury than a need.
Upboat for chicken and cat.
This is one of the few times I've seen a comment with "upboat" not in the negative. Do you think on smaller coolcomputersetupss like this we are more accepting of people?
No....its a PUSSY. Gawd.
Cock and pussy, to be specific.
That Sir is one fine looking case you have there
I love the clean setup. Where did you get that desk/what kind is it? I'm in the market and love that style.
Thank you :) The table is from Ikea. Model Galant.
Man you missed out by not saying 'My cock and pussy :D'
I'd thought he meant to have it there as an innuendo so I was helping him out! I mean, I'm n( . )t really THAT immature...
Yeah well... In your endo!
Nice set up. But I came here to say your cat, looks just like my cat.
Does it like to bite your toes too ? :)
My cat bites my third leg.
Well, you shouldn't taunt it with "it". :P
Im getting pussy all over man, its difficult.
I, I suppose, that you're right.
That is a $1500 dollar keyboard (The musical one) and probably upwards of $1000 in the PC. I envy you ;)
Loving that headset. What has your experience been with the mixamp? What is the range on it? How has the mic been?
I very much like the headset, but I have to admit that I bought it console gaming in mind. With that said, it seems to perform just as well on PC.
Yeah. I find the arm rests bump the desk frequently, and the legs of the chair bump the legs of the desk . Oh well!
I personally find it sounds a lot better both sound and your voice without the mix amp. Its just something else in the way instead of going directly to your PC. Try it out some time, Do the Skype test call to hear your voice.
I really like your desk, it looks really clean. What is it?
Cool, I thought it might be that but wasn't sure. Does it feel sturdy like it could hold a desktop's weight and all that?
It does. Very sturdy. Also, you can adjust the hight of the table. The only problem I have are my arm rest bumping into the table and table legs.
Thanks for posting this. pretty much what i was envisioning to a tee for a future case. the case, the red brim on the fans, the h100, awesome! i will mark this and send you my version when i finish it. good job!
When I frist saw that case I was a little iffy on it but the more I look at it and the more builds I see with it, the more it grows on me. Do you have any shots of it with the side panel/dust filters on?
Not yet, give me a sec :)
Thank you man. I kind of like it too since the PSU is mounted on the other side there's hardly any wires showing through the window.
The wire management, airflow, and psu heat disbursement this case does is hard to beat. its big, but nothing next to my blackhawk ultra tower that i moved out of. i have the silver/grey version that comes with white LED fans in the front instead of standard ones.
Single monitor, iPad and no video card?
I plan on getting a GPU for christmas: either an EVGA or Asus 780 Ti.
Nice rig, does cat not try to eat chicken?
Not at all. The cat is a little bit afraid of the chicken actually. :D
Chickens be be such cocks sometimes.
Nice build man, really clean and modern. That mobo is gorgeous
Getting 2 of that monitor for Christmas, how is it?
Its my first IPS panel, so to me it looks great, but I don't know how it compares with other IPS monitors.
That is my favorite case. So beautiful.
You gotta be careful in IKEA, I hear it's easy to get the Klappe.
Woahh thats so clean. Love your build!
This is so awesome! What a great build! Almost makes me regret going to the 350D with how clean that 540 looks in your setup. Kudos, awesome build!
How do you find the performance SP's? I find them quite loud, too loud to be honest.
Super loud indeed. I plan on buying a Corsair link kit to slow them down.
I love the look of that case but ended up going with something else due to the low drive count. Still wish I had an excuse to buy one for a second build.
Its a really nice case and does have 8 expansion slots (altho half being only 2.5"). as is it comes with 2 3.5" 'hot swap' bays (you have to open the side panel to get them tho). the 5.25" slots also fit 3.5" drives... but i opt'ed to swap one for a hot swap bay that i've been to lazy to install as of late.
Oh, I agree. I was really close to pulling the trigger on that case but since my present machine uses hot-swap bays for the HDDs I needed more than the 2 provided. I considered using it anyway and just skipping on using my drive bays (even though they weren't cheap and I do quite like them) but ultimately I want to have more room for customizations and whatnot. I ended up going with a Fractal Arc XL which I'm very happy with. :)
As a minimalist, I think this is awesome possum!
You claim to have a red themed build yet you use MX Blues in your keyboard. Shameful little hypocrite you are.
Get a mouse pad mate.
The FP-7 is a beautiful instrument, I've played it multiple times but couldn't justify saving the £1000+ to purchase it. I envy you... Oh and nice PC
What is that piano stand? I upgraded to my 88 key a few months back but my old stand is a little tall. Looks a nice height in these.
It's a simple but sturdy "X" stand, with adjustable height.
That case is nice OP. A lovely build and setup.
Do you like your iPad?
It was a gift, and don't get me wrong, I do like it, but, to be honest, I'm more an Android guy...
I am in love with your case. That's beautiful.
Argh, now i have to clean up my computer setup and new rig and post it up. I love my Air 540. Also, you should pick up the NZXT hue. I have one in my 540, makes it look amazing.
I love that case. I'm planning on building a new rig soon and that is definitely the one I am going to get. Build looks awesome by the way.
It bothers me that the window is behind you.
No, it just looks wrong in terms of interior design. But fair enough on the reflection.
I got a friend with a very similar case however he already has two watercooled 780ti idk what else he has
780 Ti SLI... That has to be one awesome right :O
Actually i said similar case but i meant that it is the same case, i told my brother to take pics of it, he spent about 9-10k on his whole setup including the 5.1 speakers i recommended him which cost almost 1k
Oh, pictures would be nice :)
Is the board bulletproof?
What wallpaper is that? It looks nice.
Any chance of linking the wallpaper OP?
Anyone know where the Galants have gone to on the IKEA site?
Is just one section of the galant enough?
I have the same keyboard. I love it, so clicky :D
My god your pussy is amazing ;)
Nice pussy you got there
Dislike the idea of colour matching a setup -- especially red and black.
So you leave your side panel and screens off your carbide cube, use a liquid cooler, and have no video card. your 4 fans might as well be unplugged. but, hey, it looks nice.
I took the panel and grid off so you guys could have a better look at the fans/inside the case.
I just bought a 780 Ti SC myself!
Well, I havent gotten mine either.. What case are you using between?
Nothing rude. just saying as it stands right now there is no reason for fans other then those on the radiator. i assumed you kept the panels off since they are off in set up pick and not just a close up. otherwise. again. it looks nice.
The reason is that he was able to afford the fans earlier in the build than he was able to afford the other stuff. Why not finish what you can ahead of time? Might be overkill for now, but it's certainly not hurting anything.
Again. its a matter of if you use that case without a side panel the fans aren't doing anything functional. with the side off, its basically a side standing test bench and the only real hot point in the machine is the cpu and that's liquid cooled.
