What's that mouse wire holder thing? I'm very interested.

I thought it would annoy me at first but it's nice. Hated that feeling of mouse cord drag. This eliminated that.

You actually like it? I thought about getting one but all the reviews said the thing was pointless. They are probably the same people that think mousepads are not necessary.

All depends on how you like your mouse resistance. I personally hate the feeling of mouse cord dragging on the desk so this was perfect. Once you get its position right, it really does make your mouse almost feel wireless.

What my friend told me with regards to that subject was that when you look at all the PC setups at a Starcraft tournament, they've all got one of those. "That's your review."

Not really any particular genre...but electronic is probably my favorite. Daft Punk is one of my favorites, maybe that's why I dislike a cover so much.

Kinda the Fast and Furious of cases. Its not that bad, but I, personally like the more subtle look.

I don't know, the white ones are flashy but I think the gunmetal / black versions look really sleak.

How are you liking that Fiio E10? I was looking at getting that, do you notice a big difference in sound with it/without it?

Honestly I just got it two days ago and I'm having mixed feelings so far. Previously I had an htomega striker 7.1 sound card with a fiio e5 amp but had to remove the card for my crossfire setup. Second card blocked my only pci slot. The sound quality is cleaner from the e10, with much better highs and mids, but I loved the way the striker / e5 sounded. The headphone jack is finicky on the e10 I received and if I touch my headphone cable at all, I lose the right channel. Quality control seems to be an issue with the e10. Might return it and try another one to see if the same issue is there.

Weird, sounds like you just got a defective model.. I also dont have room in my PC for a sound card, so I was thinking of going with this. Good luck if you decide to RMA that!

Fiio is legendary for "defective models" seems like that's a solid 60% of what they ship. You can replace it and eventually you'll get a good one, or be like me (and my E7) and get a perfectly working one first try

Yeah I got an E07K and it worked for a day or so, but then it started producing some seriously annoying crackles and pops whenever any sound was playing. Not super bad distortion, but just little pops and cracks here and there, which was especially noticeable in ambient music.

I have the Fiio E10 and I like it. Compared to the built in Realtek DAC on my mobo, it's much better. I would recommend it.

It's a lot smaller than you would expect. Plus the sound quality is amazing. You could also look at the Vali for $120, pretty good price for a tube amp.

Ya my bad that 1 is kind of important. But anyways modi/vali stack comes out to 220 which is pretty amazing for the quality you're getting.

Adhesive zip tie anchors. Used to use them for cable management before I grew enough balls to drill a huge hole in my paper desk.

I would say that you should go ahead and sell those 7950's for about $350-$400 each because miners are buying it for those prices and pick some GTX 780's, GTX 770's, R9 290X's, or something.

Is that an Mx15 or 17? How does it hold up on new games. I went with the Asus version of that laptop and I'm thinking I made the wrong decision. The Asus G73jh is falling apart on the inside. I can't take it apart without screws falling out and screw holder/spacer parts just popping off. The keyboard is a bear to take off too...

I have an M17X (R3) with Radeon M6970 graphics. It's okay. I can run most last Gen games without many problems. (LA Noire, Borderlands 2, Skyrim) Not going to get desktop performance out of it obviously.

It's an m15x and is about 4 years old. The I7 and 5850 aren't really enough nowadays.

I feel you on that one. Unfortunately that's another draw back. The 5850 in this can't be upgraded because it's a unique model that's cut to fit the design... pretty much stuck getting a new computer now.

Yeah I used it for gaming in college for a year or so but now it's just used for taking places or on jobs so I don't game on mine anymore.

Wow man! I love the setup. I really like the Aperture Laboratories stickers! Where did you find them? Also, I've always envied people with PLP setups. I have 3 Dell U2312HM's that I've contemplated using in PLP. I think If i were to go that route I would need to have everything matching in height and width because I'd wanna game on all that monitor goodness :)

Thank you. Took alot of time and careful adjustment but totally worth it. These monoprice mounts are only $22 on amazon and if you are patient enough to get them just right, they are great bang for your buck.

How do you like the mouse pad set up. I have the vespula and was thinking of doing that. Would you recommend it or not? I love the wrist rest but i feel something else would be better for the mouse pad itself.

I think those were released around the time the Xbox One was released.

New model that came out this year, didn't even know they existed until I won one at a gaming event at random...hey, new 360 design! They kinda suck though, it's a really cheap feeling design compared to the 360S and it doesn't have the full analog output connector or optical audio either, just HDMI and composite, which sucks since I am giving it to my parents to hook to their old rear projection HDTV in the basement for Kinect. I already have the original 360 ("jasper" unit) and it still works fine.

I have a pair of HFI-580's, but have never used an amp with it (though I've only listened to them on Macs, from what I understand they have better audio equipment). How big a difference do you hear with and with out an amp + those headphones?

Big difference for sure. Even just a fiio e5 will be a huge improvement.

A good dac is also important. Look into the e17 for a portable USB DAC and amp solution.

One of my concerns with a PLP set up that isn't even is the PPI density on the contrasting monitors. How does your's hold up? I ask cause the picture of the girl of the left monitor seems a bit distorted at the angle of the picture.

Those 22inch monitors are pretty old now so the viewing angle isn't the best on them. Just have to have them tilted toward you.

I rest my arms on my chair armrests, so just my wrists are on the desk. It's quite comfy with the grifiti wrist rests.

You have a beautiful setup, but god damn I own that Coolermaster V8 fan and I hate it with so much passion. Screws are underneath the massive bulk of the fan and extremely hard to unscrew. Would not recommend!

You don't need to unscrew those ever. Just remove the 9mm nuts from the back plate and pull the assembly out.

Nice rig and setup - one question. How the hell are you running 2 x 7950s with a 620w PSU?! I have a 650w Coolermaster at the moment on an i7 2600k with a single 7950, thinking of going Crossfire and read that the min power is 750w. I know these are usually over the top, but even when calculating the power draws myself it got to about 690w.
