How can I into trading? How much work per day is it to monitor all that anyway as someone starting out?

You mean being a day trader? Considering the markets are likely open from 10AM-4PM, you'll be there a while. You're better off just investing savings in the market and leaving it rather than trying to actually make money day trading.

Do you happen to go to a university in Texas?
