Do the mobo covers cause any retention of heat? Sorry if this is a silly question. Just curious. Also, great setup.

Normally no - they normally incorporate an extra fan to push air underneath the armor and the armor protects from the heat of the gpu I believe

Is there a common technical term to call these if I were to look them up?

ASUS TUF Series. I don't think there are mass market components like these made for non-first party motherboard manufacturers. Basically the ASUS TUF Series is all I've heard of that does this and they only make them for their motherboards.

We have the same keyboard and mouse.
