Computer With Three Monitors Setup - Computer Setup
Comments
I, too, like the color blue.
Well have some orange for a change...
The day I finish up my computer setup it will be blue and orange. Best color combination in all of history.
Everything of my setup is blue/black or just straight black. Goes nice with my wall...
I also have a blue and black color scheme but i have some gold/silver on my mother board and my GPU. the only thing i wish i could change is the red debug light.
Looks like a slow computer until i saw the red lights on the processor.
Doesn't the color red automatically overclock for you on intel K processors?
K or not, the reds ALWAYS overclock. The blues definetely keep his system chilly though.
Pretty damn solid build, even if the gpu isn't face melting it shits on my build.
I see a stock cpu cooler!
Love the keyboard by the way, typing on the exact same one right now. It's just such a pleasure.
Upvote for the case. I bought one a few months back. Best damn case I've ever owned.
How is that underpowered?
3 monitors for a card that can't max new games on one monitor
Underpowered is a pentium D with 256mb ram and no graphics card.
Ah yes of course, didn't think about that.
Man I miss that old generation of Triton :( I used to own a pair but they broke over the 3 years I owned them. I just threw them out yesterday, actually.
I got a pair for my birthday last year at the end of November. By March one earphone quit working. E-mailed customer service multiple times to no avail. Never again.
Have you de-lidded your i5-3570K at all, and/or what thermal paste are you using? I have the hyper 212+ Evo cooler on mine, with Coollabortatories Liquid Pro, you'll never see your processor run above 60c. Mine on full load runs 62-63c, but I'm also in the humid hell of North Carolina.
I doubt everyone here is as brave as you are!
Took me about an hour. I even bled. Put AS5 on it first, that was a mistake. Then upgraded to CLP. It was well worth it, I mainly video edit.
Howd you get the window mod? Those fan mounts keep me from getting that case
Shame on you for using the stock fan for that cpu.
Hey, don't worry! It's faster than mine:
I would pick yours to play games on.
Why? I can't see anything better about mine compared to his. Than again I'm always learning...
Most games are GPU bound and your 650 is more powerful than a 7770.
Is it now? Thanks for the info, what makes it more powerful?
For Planetside 2, I'd take an i5
I love the setup! But if i could just give you one piece of advice, pick up an aftermarket heatsink if you haven't thought about it yet! You won't regret it for a second.
I'm not overclocking my CPU right now. When I do, i'll get a hyper 212 evo!
That's actually the same one i have now! love that thing to death
I purchased the normal hyper 212 :/. I wish I would have seen the evo was out, but I still love my old faithful.
Difference in cooling aren't really noticeable so you shouldn't feel bad.
Its not just about overclocking, it will be noticeably quieter
I bet you would love this wallpaper
This is my current wallpaper on a single monitor.
Good choice Olivia Wilde is pretty in excess.
She's gorgeous. I thought about the actress who plays Gem as my background, but she just doesn't have what Olivia has.
Especially with her haircut in Tron but she looks fine with long hair as well.
Please tell me you've switched from that screensaver.
I usually just put my comp to sleep and turn the monitor off. The only reason it was on is that it helped take pictures on my cell phone without being too bright..."good" exposure settings on a cell phone :P
Mouse is pretty good but they gave me the wrong color. I asked for a red one but they gave me a blue
Great, Only 1 left in stock.
Yup. I have the preamp behind the filing cabinet
Is there any way you prevent the cable from getting all twisted?
NO! I have no idea why it does that! When it does, I unplug the headset from the controller thing and untwist it.
Oh well, very nice set up sir!
It has a 7770 graphics card with 1GB of vram displaying 5760x1080. Some might call that underpowered. As a whole, it certainly isn't modest, and i'm not claiming it is
How's gaming on that resolution? I currently have a Sapphire 7970 GHz, but I don't know if the overall gameplay experience is worth it.
Is it gonna make you a better player? No. Does it make your gaming experience more fun? Hell yeah
What kind of settings and framerates are you looking at with the 7770 on that resolution?
Depends on the game. I can average ~50 fps on Dirt 3 @5760x1080 on high with 2x AA
I'm looking to go triple monitor as well (currently dual) and am curious about temps. I've got a 7950 and with both screens enabled, I'm idling around 46c. Any chance you could tell me yours?
Your setup is amazing, personally I'd have three monitors and a weaker GPU than one monitor and a high-end GPU
In his defense, for having 3 monitors it is a bit underpowered with the current GPU he is rocking, everything else is pretty good.
Im kinda... Just giving a reason for why he is saying it is underpowered lol
Oh, now I understand! I thought you meant in defense of my opinions or something like that. I fully agree, the 7770 is severly underpowered for triple 1080p monitors.
Really? Why? I'm curious because I have a mindset of the latter. Or could you have a combo of both? One gorgeous monitor for gaming and another decent one for the sake having more space all with a mid-high range GPU.
Nah, it's because 400 fps on a single screen wont make the experience better
To me a single 2560x1440 monitor is always better than 3 1080p monitors.
I never said anything about resolution tho..
What I'm saying is I'd rather use the money to buy a higher resolution monitor than 3 lower resolution monitors, and if you get to the point where you're buying 3 2k monitors there is no excuse not to buy a higher end gpu.
Here, have an bookmark for having Sam Flynn as a wallpaper.
Looking nice!
How are you liking the case? I ordered the same one last week.
Also, what keyboard is that? I quite like the blue backlight.
Its an awesome case! Has tons of cable management options and removable HD cages. The filters are great and the handles are convenient. I highly recommend the window mod. Just go to Home Depot and buy some acrylic, measure it out, and score and cut it!
Yep i saw your window mod a while back, Im not sure if i want to do it yet though as the window fans blow cool air right into my GPU. hmmm
Youre also disrupting your heat exhaust cycle. The fans blowing in make an air pocket around your cpu and allows heat to sit in there
Nice theory But you want positive pressure in your case. Meaning basically more air pushing into the case than exhaust. All my fans blow in except two fans on top. Air isn't sitting anywhere since the positive pressure ensures it moving through the case.
There are benefits to both
It is a coolermaster quickfire tk with blue switches
I own the same keyboard. Don't be turned off by the ten-keyless thing, it is surprisingly easy to get used to.
Thanks! Glad I kept reading down the page. I was going to ask what stand.
I thought you were going to wait until you got those ikea led things
I don't know much about computers, and I don't know how good this actually is, but what i do know is it looks fuckin' awesome
Got the same keyboard a couple of months ago, one of the better things I've bought. Had a Black Widow before which broke, this keyboard is much better.
You don't even understand how big my deep, undying passion for Tron is...
The only thing possibly underpowered about it is the 7770, and even then it's still pretty decent.
All those fans, but a stock cooler?
I was thinking the same damn thing lol
YOU NEED NICE GIGABYTE CARD, MOAR BLUE MOAR FANS
Where'd you get the blue keyboard? I have the same one, except it's green, and it sucks because everything else is blue, mine's almost like yours.
A lot of fans for your "underpowered gaming setup" lol..
How is the stand? From the picture it looks pretty stable.
Do the outer monitor hang sligthly bent or are they straight like the middle one?
Awww, that's a cute little heatsink!
I have the same keyboard :D
I have that same case. How were you able to replace the stock window on the side?
Buy acrylic from home depot. measure. Score with razor blade. Break. Tape to old window. drill holes. done. total= $10
What bracket are you using to hold your 3 monitors?
Hey dude, could you tell me where you got those led's from on your fans? And the red one's from the motherboard?
Would like to have those to they look awesome!
Very neat, i like it
I have the same keyboard. Best money I have ever spent.
I need three screens......i feel two is no longer sufficient
Ok, gotta ask... how did you get the solid side panel. i wanna do that with my c70. did you make it or buy it?
That's a really good three screened wallpaper. I like it.
Nice keyboard, shame about those headphones though..
Hey man...at least you keep it clean and nice. I have a really nice system right not but I just moved and all my cables and shit are everywhere with no fucks given. My screens are dirty and not even my desk has been wiped down recently. This is the hardware.
That is one nice build. Out of curiosity, what headphones do use use with that sound card? I got my audiotechnica ad700s from amazon last week and I'm loving them. Most comfortable headset I've ever worn and great sound.
Radeon HD 7770. Severely underpowered
Three 7770s and 3 display crossfire.... must not be a gamer.
