Dual Monitor Set Up Gaming - Computer Setup

Comments

Nice station and looks great! So 2 things what keyboard is that ? And what's the performance like on that graphics card?
Yeah, it is the K50
The graphics card is brilliant, it takes everything you throw at it with no problems. It's amazing, especially coming from my old GeForce 9800!
Good God that's quite a jump, from the 9800 to the GTX 780! :D how many years did you go without updating?
I've had that since I built my first PC in 2008, so it's been quite a while!
I ran a 9800GX2 for years. That card was just legendary.
Yeah, it was an awesome card. It was 5 years old and still managed to play BF3 on medium.
What do you use for the lighting behind your monitor?
Just some LEDs from Ikea.
Can you link me to them? They look sooo freaking awesome
You have flawless taste in back lighting and wallpaper combinations.
Can you link me to the first wallpaper? I must have it. Thanks.
Loving the Star Wars reference
The peripherals make it for me.
They're Asus VN247H's. I picked them because of the really thin bezel, just under a centimeter.
How are you finding the Corsair Carbide 540? Is it loud with all the fans running?
It's not massively noisy, although that's compared to my old PC that sounded like a jet engine when you booted it up. The case itself is really good, lots of room and great looking too.
Awesome. Thanks for the help. Just wondering because the case is relatively open with the top and front being quite large mesh. How many fans you got in there? What are the temps like with the 780? I'm considering running 8 fans, so I'm concerned with the noise.
So far it's been fine. I haven't done much intensive with the 780 yet so I can't say much about temperatures. But noise wise, it's fine. I've got 5 140mm fans in there and it's not too bad. It's all down to the fan choice I guess. I'm using the stock fans, but if you got some nicer silent fans it would be a lot better.
Awesome. Cheers for the info.
Your computer setup looks amazing, do you by any chance have the name of that desk?
It's a Galant Desk from Ikea. Little bit expensive, but it's the perfect size for me.
Haha my dual monitor station looks like shit compared to yours
The lights definitely are the best purchase. They're only £30 but they change the look of it so much.
What are you using to have the windows bar on both monitors
Just Windows 8.1, nothing special.
This. This is so badass
What water cooler is that? If you were to review it, what would your biggest critique be?
It's the NZXT Kraken X60. I'd say it would be the fans that come with it. They're decent, but they are stock fans so they're a bit noisy and there's nothing special about them.
Where did you get your wallpapers from?
Just from Google, with a bit of colour changing and editing in Photoshop.
Nice, im having a hard time finding good 5760 x 1080 wallpapers
Is there some way to coordinate when each of the lights and wallpaper change colors together?? That would amazing.
I wish there was. It takes about 5 minutes to change colours because I have to go and set everything manually!
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing!
What case is that? Why can't I find the PSU...
It's the Corsair Air 540, the power supply, as well as the 5.25 drive bays and my SSD are behind the motherboard in a separate compartment. It's quite a clever design and it's amazing for cable management.
Oh wow it's fat, I've seen this case before but didn't make the connection
Case? and is that a custom side?
It's the Corsair Air 540 and no, it isn't.
Any chance of a link to the city wallpaper?
Can you link me to that Chicago skyline wallpaper, I must have that...
...Your computer does not seem to have a power supply.
The case is a Corsair Carbide Air 540 - it's a wide case design with the PSU and 5 1/2" drive bays in the rear section.
Whats that mousepad i like it
It's the Corsair MM400. It's really good.
How do you like the mamba?
It's really nice. I haven't used the wireless dock much since I got it. But it's really smooth and fits really nicely in my hand.
Looks great! I would have bought the same keyboard if it wasn't for those meddling macro keys.
I like the macro keys. I do a lot of video editing so I have all my editing shortcuts mapped to them. It makes my life so much easier.
