Yeah, I think he means broke. Poor would mean you don't have those kind of luxury items.
Damn, I wish I was poor.
It's not the most accurate, but I'm not a competitive gamer so I don't really notice.
What is/where did you get that desk?
Ikea, about five years ago. Can't remember the name of it.
Five years ago? IKEA Jonas with the pull out panel, probably? About the same time I bought mine.
Look up the IKEA Malm desk. This appears to be an IKEA Jonas (an older version of the Malm) that had the pull out panel removed.
What is your reasoning for going with the washable keyboard? Germaphobe? I'm genuinely curious and not mocking or anything.
I own a long-haired cat... getting the hair out from between the keys of a regular keyboard really sucks. :)
Makes sense, thanks for the answer.
I'm impressed your able to use that keyboard for gaming. I've used that model in the past, and found the keys to be very mushy and inaccurate. also, the build quality seemed to be really poor, the thing would flex a lot when typed on.
I actually switched from a wireless set because of input lag. It's certainly no gaming keyboard, but I'm not good enough that it really matters. :)
Im thinking about crossfiring 7770s how is it???
I would advise against it. It has tons of power, but the Crossfire drivers are a constant headache. Save your pennies and get a single more powerful card.
I have one of the same GPU's that you have. There was a driver update a few months ago that for me fixed a lot of bad driver crashing while gaming. Any driver for this card was a headache for me and you put two into crossfire! How good do they game doubled up in comparison to just one?
It really depends on the game. In Battlefield 3 and Dirt 3, they work perfectly. In Dead Space 3, they cause horrible glitching with vsync off. In Blacklight Retribution, the GPU usage rarely goes above 70%. In Alan Wake, the first card is stuck at 70% GPU usage. In Company of Heroes, Crossfire must be turned off or there is horrible microstutter.
Well I'm getting a second one for dirt cheap and it will be in my back up rig once my 780 comes in so I was just curious on what the problems were. Anymore details on the drivers?
I'm running the latest stable driver (13.12). See my response to the other comment for the details.
Hey I remember those wallpapers from a few days ago, I have one of them as my wallpaper right now!
I've got the same keyboard and i hate it.. can't wait until i have enough money to buy a mechanical keyboard
How "washable" is that keyboard?
You can actually submerge it in water, it works really well.
Any reason for the 2.5" Seagate hyrbid?
It's my steam drive. lots of room, and it has a solid state cache so steam and my most commonly used games load fast. When I built it, you could only get hybrid drives in 2.5" format.
I have the same mouse. I've Had it for about 4 or 5 years, still works like new!
Looks like you got your PSU upsidedown.
I'm just wondering why you're using two graphics cards instead of just one? Does that graphics card only support one monitor?
Had a 7770, wanted more gaming performance so I added another one.
As I explained to someone else in these comments...
You know, it's funny. I decided to treat myself to a mechanical keyboard this christmas. I went for a Corsair K70 after some research and a bunch of good feedback. After messing around with it, I realized I hated it. Something about it just didn't click with me, and the noise of it drove me crazy (despite opting for the 'quiet' browns. So here I am, back with my $20 slim Kensington keyboard. Looks like shit, doesn't have any real 'gaming' features, but it gets the job done for a fraction of the cost.
Glad you at least tried it out. Try selling it on Geek hack classifieds if you still don't want it
I returned it through amazon. Only had it for a few days before I knew it wasn't going to work.
