Thinking of getting a better cooler?
h60 would fit nicely in there c:
nice gaming setup btw
Contrary to popular belief you don't need an aftermarket cooler. The stock cooler performs just fine. Unless you're going for a sweet overclock or you're just anal about temps then avoid stock coolers like the plague.
TL;DR stock coolers = fine, unless you're OC'ing
From what I've noticed with intel stock coolers is that as long as you mount them without break any of those pins (that clip to the mobo) the noise won't be too bad (no wobble). Plus, they aren't too loud to begin with. I could also be partially deaf.
The intel coolers aren't that bad. I had an AMD stock cooler before, and it sounded like a jet engine.
Can Confirm: My friends always asked me why I liked to have a vacum running in the background whilst playing computer games
I bet you my coolermaster v8 makes more noise than my stock intel cooler :P
Then you are doing it wrong :P Either replace the fans or get your hands on a 5v or 7v 3pin connector, or just DIY at risk of having no ground.
It's an Arc Midi, almost any cooler would fit in there.
Of all the things depicted... totally jealous of the hard wood floors. Tired of my carpet. Really nice setup though!
As someone who has lived with hardwood floors for almost 10 years, I get incredibly jealous of people with carpeted floors. My feet get so damn cold here.
I've heard that too. But it just looks so damn sexy, especially in a tech-specific room.
Most random comment ever :D thanks though :)
What desk mat is that? i like it a lot.
How do you like it?
I actually don't own the extended size, I only got the smaller one. I like it a lot, it's comfortable but I would've preferred getting the extended version.
Razer doesn't deserve this much love.
Their mice definitely do, can't say the same about their keyboards as there are better mech keyboards
Yeah mice and pads are good but their keyboards are not as good.. (havent tried the mechanical ones though)
You should pick up the 2013 deathadder if you have some extra $$$. I had the original DA for like 6 years (it's still working lol), but man the 2013 is just nuts. I've used a mechanical keyboard in a store before and it felt pretty amazing to type on. When I build my rig this summer I will definitely be picking one up! And nice setup too :)
I don't like the green light thats the biggest problem :D
Yeah i know i miss the blue! but i turned the light off :)
I would pick up the Steelseries 6Gv2. It's a great mechanical keyboard with no gimmicks.
It's a very nice, well made board, but the keycaps aren't as well printed as they might be.
Oh really? That stinks, I know off sites like ThinkGeek you can order laser-etched mechanical key caps.
I couldn't find any on ThinkGeek, but I'll have a look at some other sites.
... underneath the Sealab? Underneath the water?
What is the case? It looks nice...
It's a Fractal Design Arc.
How do you like the deathadder? I'm thinking of getting one in a while....
When the deathadder came out 6/7 years ago, I picked it up and didn't have any problems throughout the years and absolutely loved it. Recently, I was in the market for a new mouse (my original DA was still working), opted to get the 2013 Deathadder and couldn't be hapier. Excellent sensor, texture of the mouse is beautiful, and those side grips are a nice added touch. My palm used to sweat a bit with my old deathadder, was a bit annoying but I didn't mind. The new texture is sweat resistant if that means anything to you, but it just feels really nice. I competitively play cs (have for years) and I swear by this mouse. Tracks excellently at low sensitives too (i'm a low sens player), as well as at higher sens. No skipping, just smooth movements. 100% you won't be disappointed.
Thank you SO MUCH. I've (obviously) heard a lot of bad stuff about Razor, and this really helps me not be scared to buy the mouse.
Trust me you won't be disappointed, even if you get a defective mouse you're under warranty so you can easily get a new one. When I got my first deathadder, my aim was just beast and I felt like I was cheating lol. Bought the 2013 deathadder and my aim got even better (better sensor). You will not regret it man, hope you enjoy it as much as I and many other people do!
Yeah I think it will be a pretty big jump up from a logitech EX100 mouse and keyboard (I will get a blackwidow tournement edition to go with it)
That keyboard has everything I need though- blue switches, it's a TKL (not like I was going to use the number pad anyway)a detachable cable and a windows key lock function and its pretty cheap. So I like it. The other one I was looking at was the CM Storm quickfire TK, but that is more expensive, and the only feature is adds is backlighting (which I don't care for anyway, my room has plenty of light.
Their keyboards don't have the best build quality is all I'm saying. I was thinking about buying the same one (except I wanted brown switches), but will probably pick up one of the TKL duckys.
Build quality doesn't matter too much- I am VERY gentle with peripherals. And it's not yet final, I MAY just get the quickfire TK.
Only thing im disliking is the glossy part on the sides. It gets really slippery if your hands are sweating.. but it's definitely worth the money!
My hand don't generally sweat too much, so I don't think that will be too much of a problem. :)
I love mine. But like OP said, the glossy sides get slippery with palm sweat.
How often? Once in a blue moon, or often enough to get annoying?
It happens to me a few times in game.
Though it really comes down to how you hold your mouse.
I came from the MX Revolution, and it could be my habits.
Hence why I said, it was a pedantic picking of faults ;)
Alright, that doesn't sound TOO bad. And maybe it won't happen at all. At any rate, thanks for the input.
If you're worried, try out a display model at the shop.
Yeah, I'll definitely see if I can. There is a microcenter near me, I'll se if they have it. And generally, I don't panic in games anyway, so I'm fairly sure it won't be a problem.
That's a great looking set up.
Is that dust in those front vents?! Get it cleaned for photo shoots!
You're right, there's some dust but i did just clean it before the photo. To get it all away you'll need to open the case, unplug fans, take fans off and the you can wash the filter but i couldn't be bothered with doing that. :)
Where did you find such a beautiful desk?
Some store here in Finland maybe 7-8 years ago :D you won't probably find another one unless you build it yourself :3
Love it. It is simple and minimalistic, but unlike most simple/minimalistic gaming setups I see here this one actually has the features you need.
Do you mind linking the wallpaper?
I know this is random but great desk. Where did you get it
What chair is that? It looks comfy as all hell...
What is the point of displaying the hardware boxes?
Decoration mostly but they work as storage too :D
Thanks for the title. You inspired me to learn Sea Lab by Calamine.
What chair is that and where did you get it?
DAMNIT! Why does all the cool computer chairs only found OUTSIDE of the US OF A! damndamndamn
I like your mouse rug. Makes the keyboard and mouse look less out of place on a desk.
Nice setup, but please take those boxes down. you're not in high school anymore.
Actually i am in high school xD
Nice chair .. Comfy? What's it called
"Race", it's from a store called "Sotka" here in Finland i don't where you'll find it in other countries..
I love the desk. IKEA? Sadly, there is no room for duel monitor.
I had those Logitech speakers. I miss them dearly. The volume control cord got damaged. Had to toss them.
This is a nice setup mate.
I like this setup. It's very rare to find a sectionor who doesn't elevate his monitors too high.
I like how you have the original boxes on display, bookmark
Speaking of, why are there two Intel processor boxes?
