Yeah! Some friends and I pulled an all nighter cutting and assembling it. Came out decent if I say so myself.
Is that plywood or solid wood for the top of the desk?
The top is 3 pieces of oak plywood joined with more plywood at the bottom and then slotted together. The legs and braces are just simple pine.
I love the grain and the stain that you put on. Good stuff!
Thank you! It's an ebony stain that I sanded to show the grain and then did 12 coats of water based poly to cover.
I should have included the photo of the projector too...
Yes I agree. also maybe the whole area?
I'll add them as an edit on this post EDIT, actually I added them as a comment. Just look around here.
Can you post more pics of your headphones? Also, which amp are you using?
I need that headphone stand for my 990's :)
770s are closed. those are 990s.
Can you only get the LAN warrior II case through IBUYPOWER? because I've never seen it in that color-way unless you painted it.
That's actually the Vulcan by nzxt, and yeah, custom paint
It's actually an NZXT Vulcan. They use the chassis for their LAN-Warrior II, because that's the name of the system, not the case. I've heard the case itself is pretty flimsy though.
It kinda is. But I liked the look of it. I was a little disappointed with the cable management options as well as the strength of some of the screw holes. Either way, I like its looks.
Flimsy as in throwing it around LAN parties? or just in general?
Well, I've heard it's a decent case. I don't personally own it, but I heard its alright. People have told me if you don't toss it around (as you shouldn't with a computer), it will be fine, but it's not the highest quality. Usually cheap cases have pretty thin metal.
I've built in one, its flimsy as in they used metal that's way too thin and has a lot of flex to it.
Thanks, I'm just going to stick with the Phantom 410 for now.
Do you have a 220mm fan on the side? I had to get a low-profile cooler for it to fit. Also great work on the cable management. I have the same case, and its tough to work with so little room behind the backplate.
Nah, it's just the side, I only have about 1 cm clearance between the heat sink and the mesh on the case. And thanks! I spent a ton of time with cables and I had to sit on the case to close the back, haha
Is the monitor stand all custom built? I can see the monitor on the top is two pieces of angle iron but I've been looking for a 3 monitor stand that won't break the bank.
Glad you noticed! I made the top mount with angle iron as well as extended the side mounts to fit the center 23 incher. The mount cost me $80 and the mods $35
Possible to get a few more shots of the mount? Possibly showing how you modded it?
I know the feeling. It's nice once it's built but building in it is like committing mental suicide. It made me insane
My first rig was with an NZXT Vulcan.. theres not many features.
The table is amazing. More pictures or design? how to?
Sorry if this a nooby question, but how are you running 4 monitors off of one graphics card?
GTX 670 cards can handle up to 4 outputs at once. Maybe some of the other models, too, I'm not sure. The only reason I know that is because I have the exact same card as OP in my machine.
I'm actually running 5, my projector is off of my igpu
Good to know that's possible, thanks!
I think its only on the z77 chipset and perhaps some others, but yeah!
Why are your Bose 901's on the ground? C'mon, man.
I wouldn't mind some advice as to placement! I just don't know where to put them.
How much money did the desk assembly cost?
The price of the desk ran about 80-100 dollars. Not bad at all, and it's sturdy as a rock!
