Just curious why do all new computers have the PSU at the bottoms as apposed to the top?
Seems silly to have such a heavy part at the top, above everything else
PSU's aren't that heavy, and computer cases are strong
They're the heaviest thing in there and if it fell it would wreck everything. Just seems logical to put the heaviest part at the bottom of the case.
True, also putting a PSU up high is a real pain.
I would argue that 2 harddrives weigh more than a psu. Depending on how good your psu is... it could quite possibly be the lightest part of your computer.
Theyre sitting in bays, though. My last case that used a top mounted PSU just had a mrtal latch for it to fit into and while im sure it wouldn't have broke, its still hardly a good idea to put it up there when the bottom is safer
Well for one airflow, if they are sitting on top they get usually heated up by the GPU and CPU which is stupid and unnesseary.
I'll be honest, I did skimp on the case a bit... A bargain at 30 quid.
