I tried the Crouton method, and it's good, but I'm not a huge fan of kde or xfce (I prefer Unity 3D that comes with standard Ubuntu, which they haven't been able to install via Crouton yet). Also, I've found that it's just a little bit buggy when using Crouton, for some reason. I'm sure someone with more experience in Linux would be able to make it work.
How is the build quality of the Pixel to that of the MacBook Retina?
Build quality is outstanding. The MBPr is an amazing piece of hardware, though, especially due to the aluminum casing. I'd probably give the edge to the MBPr - it feels sturdier, and maybe a bit better designed - but the Pixel is not far behind it. I'm seriously impressed by how good the Pixel's build quality and hardware design is.
Very efficient use of the equipment you have, thanks for sharing.
Needs a Cintiq tablet to complete the superfluous look.
I was actually thinking that. Thankfully, the Surface Pro sort of takes care of that, since it uses a Wacom-style stylus.
Yeah, the Pixel sounds nice. Even Linus Torvalds uses one now (with OpenSuSE, I think)
Do you have anymore photos you could share of the office? Thanks for the insight!
Lol, I'm on my phone and didn't realize it was a panoramic picture. So I was like "WTF, this is like half this desk. Is he joking??"
Very open office! I like it!
I liked this because I like to see how developers' desks look at places that I care about
I seem to be the only person that hates using laptops.
Definitely not. Most people I know would use a desktop if they spent all day at a desk. Laptops are for when you are actually mobile often enough to be annoying.
