I've an Aurora R4 I got a balling deal for. A $2000 machine for $1100; the specs were better than the one I was building myself and cheaper plus the case is the best part! I have an almost identical setup to you, actually :)
At the time i didnt realize that i was overpaying for it. its been about a year and its a nice build. never given me any troubles
You didn't over pay anything for it, it's a prebuilt. Prebuilts are priced differently.
Even being prebuilt alienware computers are overpriced
Acutally no. have you ever priced an competators price versus an Alienware?
Well, at least you're happy with it, and you got a sweet looking case to build with, although i wouldn't recommend it, the airflow isn't very good, they're worth good money on Ebay, should you ever choose to sell it
I had one and its not at all bad with airflow. It has an open top with a hex grid mesh that allows air to flow in and out freely(heat raises) the case has 3 different thermal chambers. inside it has a Graphics card cage where it keeps the GPU heat away from the CPU and it allows the air to be ejected out the back. It has an induction fan that blows directly into the graphics cage
The cpu and ram are in a seprate chamber that allows the heat to be disapated out the radiator and out the hex grid up top.
