I know, I know!! I haven't found a solution to that yet.
I have that same desk. What I used were some plastic shower hanger hooks and attached them to the metal tube on the back of the desk. Then just thread all your wires through there. You can still see some of the wires, but it looks much better than having them go all over.
I will have to try this. Can you send a few pics so I can get an idea of what it looks like?
Fucking manage those shits before posting here.
I don't think a lot of people noticed your username. Lol
I think a lot of people are just fucking tired of terrible, uninspired novelty accounts.
I picture you as shaking of anger while posting this.
Huge fan of that security system you have. Always wanted to get cameras installed but just never get around to. Damn Coolcomputersetups.
You should, they are amazing. I don't even use windows any more. And you can view them from Cellular devices
You send the images/vids off site?
You connect the Surveillance DVR to your router, then port forward the assigned ports, and you can either connect via IP, or use the software it came with, there is also android/iphone/microsoft app to DL
Could you elaborate on the camera system a bit more? Brand? Resolution? Software? I am a huge fan of what you have going on there, and would like to adopt something very similar, if not the same. Biggest piece I want is access from mobile. However I also really like the tie in to Windows. Or am I mistaking what I see?
Link was dead. Is there a sub or a good place to go to research home security stuff like this? Thanks!
Try This link There really isn't too much out there as home surveillance is really uncommon, especially in the do it yourself category, most of it is done by professionals and its all in house. You kind of just have to do your homework. As a starter, I'd reccomend Lorex, I did the research already and they are a good, cheap, easy to use system. good warranty, good tech support. I've had their cameras out in 100 degree weather down to 0 degree weather, for 2 years so far and they still work knock on wood.
Great! Yes, I've noticed plenty of pay per month services. Do not want. I want my own standalone system.
That link works. Thanks. So you can add up to 8 additional cameras to that particular system? Where do you get extra cameras?
No, but you can buy the 16 channel, which looks exactly the same, I have two separate DVR's both the exact same less the channels
Right, but does it send the video off site in a push manner, a pull maner is nice, but push is much better :D
I'm not familiar with the "push, pull" method of hosting video? The company provides you with a .ddns website that you name, and you basically tell your phone to connect to it if you so choose, otherwise you can host it yourself.
What I mean is, is that the videos that are saved, if the system doesn't move them offsite then they can be removed by stealing the drive/computer/server they are on if a breakin occurs.
That is correct, it is all local, I do not have it saved off site. I'm working on fixing that
Ok, just checking, so where do you live... :P
God, haven't seen a 690 forever
Seen the new Silencio?
You're talking about the GPU..... right??
No? Isn't it called CM Silencio 650?
He has a GTX 690 for a graphics card, that's what I meant
Ohh. I didn't look to closely at the pictures of the hardware or the spec list.
How come you have red sleeved 6-pin cables? It would look more neat with some black sleeved cables, or even switch all the cables out to match the sexy green color of that lovely GPU, well at least imo.
They came with the PSU, I really don't pay attention to the aesthetics I suppose unless I was showing it for some reason.
Well if you don't care too much about aesthetics I guess buying new cables would just be a waste of money. You did do some cable management, though, so guess you still want your case to look nice and clean. (I know cables management improves airflow as well).
Well it was just an advice of improvement, but it's still a nice rig though.
That's my next project. Getting IP cameras set up.
That's a really nice desk! May I know what it is?
What stand(s) are you using for those LED lights?
The light fixtures are from sharper image, I couldn't find any links for the life of me, but the socket is GU10, I doubt you'll have any luck finding any as sharper image is down the shitter now.
Are the stands part of the light fixtures from them, or are you using some specific stand/mounting hardware?
They are all together.
How do you like the ATH-M50s? I've been looking at them and not entirely sure if I should pull the trigger on them.
I own the Sennheiser HD280, Sony MDR-V6, and a Bose quiet comfort, and prefer these to all of them. For the price I think they are great. They aren't technically noise cancelling but they do a great job cancelling noise, and they are very comfortable. I can keep them on my head for hours without having my ears hurt
That is good to know, thank you.
You obviously haven't tried high end Sennheisers if you prefer the ATH's.
I am not an audiophile by any means, however, like I said for the money, they are great. I'm sure the 1000 dollar sennheisers sound incredible as do the equally priced AT's, I'm running out of the mobo sound card which is actually decent
Ahh, you're lucky. Even my easy to drive Grados don't sound good out of my motherboard audio jack, not because of the quality, but because there's some sort of ground loop that creates a high pitched buzzing sound everytime my hard drive seeks. It's horrible.
Haha, Its where I keep the hidden boos from the woman.
That cable management!! lovin it!
Where cable management goes to die.
Case looks super clean man, good job!
Can you do me a favor and see if the keyboard tray will work on the other desk? I want to add it to the otherside to keep the glass clean or to throw a monitor under the glass.
Could we get specs on the dog?
Yeah, she's a fourth gen Pitbull, overclocked aggression towards animals and small babies on the TV. Under-clocked physical activity, results in lethargic behavior.
What's wrong with it? Am I ignorant to something?
Oh, haha. Derp, it was vertical when I put it in, however I was facing the other side of the case. If I rotate it 90° however those two water pipes will hang rather low, too low for my liking, is this going to decrease performance, or is it just an aesthetic thing?
What is your build? Just curious. I love your set up, very clean but very man-cave at the same time.
The build is detailed in the description under each pic
How are you suppose to use your spank station...if someone can watch you.
