Thanks man! I love my G5; No gaming with it, obviously, but with older production software, it's still going strong!

I had one for a while until I killed it to use its case. If you ever want to upgrade take a look around for first gen mac pro's they are pretty cheap now days and have the same aesthetic look of the G5 but much more upgradable.

I've actually been thinking of doing that and most likely will pretty soon!

Well its what I did, grabbed a 06 mac pro for $150, had graphics issue, replaced GPU with PC card, worked. So now I have a working cheap mac pro.

How do you like those yamaha monitors? I have a pair of BX5a(s). I hear the yamaha 8" are absolutely amazing. Thoughts...?

I've heard the HS80s and went with the 50s coupled with a sub. They are great. If you want to listen, I did a sound test that compares all three speakers in the room.

I'm good thanks though, I checked both the 80s and 50s at the store. I just like other people's opinions because sometimes my ear doesn't catch everything. I don't play music like I used to.
