Or literally any other keyboard. I have one of those right next to me (in fact, three in the same room in varying sizes and "releases") and they are fucking awful. For that to be the best keyboard someone's used they either peck one key at a time, or it is the only keyboard they have used.
I mainly use my G15v2 but when I'm on my laptop I love the mac chicklet keyboards. To each his own.
I must say that chiclet keyboards like that are definitely the way to go for laptops.
For sure. If you don't type on them often I see how they could be annoying. But the same could be said for mechanicals.
Some people do like them though. Depends what you like. I like the fact that I don't have to press the key in very far for it to register, but I can also see why some don't like them
Blues might change his mind
Some people just don't like mechanical. the best keyboard is the one someone personally likes the most.
It's still worth pointing people who love a damn apple keyboard to mechanicals, just in case. They should at least try them.
Ok, I'll be honest here. I have both a apple keyboard a mechanical. and you know what? I honestly like both. sorry.
That's cool. You tried and formed an opinion. I can respect that. My comment was aimed at those who dismiss mechanicals without having tried them properly.
Ah okay, yeah I see your point. Don't get me wrong, I love my mechanical. It's really satisfying to type on but for some reason I like both. I like to switch them every few weeks.
I previously used a mechanical keyboard but didn't like how loud they were. I don't play many games on my computer anymore and I just needed something that was quiet, that didn't take up that much room on the desk and was good for typing.
Some people just have a raging hardon for mechanical keyboards and can't fathom anyone liking anything else. Personally, I like my mechanical keyboard, but I also used one of those Apple keyboards for years and really liked it. Build quality on them isn't shit, either.
Is having a mechanical keyboard becoming the same as owning an apple. Instant elitism. OP didn't say it was the best he's ever used.
Nice Alienware bra, only thing missing is a beats headphone
Bose speakers, close enough.
All of this. This "gaming setup," as if it even deserves to be called that, is pathetic.
You're a sucker for brand names, aren't you?
I dealt with the keyboard, but then I saw the tower and I literally said "Dude come on." out loud.
I stopped at the Bose Companion 2's. $100 of $40 sound. Hell, that's almost the price of some AV40s, and is the price of the AV30's or Swan M10s (if you can find them).
Whats that glass thing embedded into your desk?
Its a light table. So you put a light underneath it so you can trace drawings
How does it work? Is it that custom made?
Not much of an Alienware fan but that chassis looks good. Does it come standard with the grey sides?
At the time it was an extra option. Usually comes with black sides. I ended up getting the upgrade for free along with the speakers
I like how clean the setup is.
What's so bad about the mouse? And where did you get the giant LEGO Stormtrooper?
What problems did you have your computer lad?
It's an alienware so a lot. I would guess driver errors along with cheap hardware = blue screens and the such.
Jesus Christ, the neckbearded elitism in this thread is just fucking off the chart.
This is a good battlestaion because it works for op. My main concern isn't his keyboard or Alienware or brand names and such; My concern is that op payed too much for the setup he has. If money isn't a concern I'm happy for him and I hope he enjoys the setup :)
Your right, I paid way too much for the computer itself. When I bought it 3 or 4 years ago I didn't know much about building my own and was too afraid too. I just needed something that was reliable.. Turns out that didn't work out too well anyway haha. Yeah I have seen some Logitech mice that are really nice so I will probably go with one of them.
I agree, the Apple Wired Keyboard is an excellent keyboard.
I can't remember what model of desk it was but it was IKEA and I think they have stopped making them now. Its a pretty low quality desk but it gets the job done
Yeah when I bought the computer 3 or 4 years ago I was too afraid about building my own. But definitely next time I will build my own. Thanks
Just for anyone interested. The keyboard is such a nice keyboard and works quite well with Windows.
The reason why the headphone ports crackle is due to interference from something else and looking at the ports on the case it is a cheaply made USB board with integrated Jack ports and because they are on the same board and the board isn't high quality at all everything will interfere with everything else.
Keyboard- I agree they are very nice and aesthetically pleasing.
OP, are you ok? Yea the apple keyboarda are rather nice,... But the mamba is terrible? You obviously have the money to get something else. if you don't like it.
Alienware and a shitty apple keyboard (worse than a laptop keyboard). How did this get this many bookmarks?
