Is there a back story to this? Tents generally aren't the most ideal places to stick expensive electronics.

It was outside my friends house, his set up is on the left.

I don't know the climate that you live in, but I would be careful with the humidity. It can be nasty to your systems

OP's friend here. My family took the tent out for camping recently and we were letting it air out, so naturally we decided to have a lan party in it.

I seriously thought I was the only one that did this!
