I have my standard gripes and beef with the dorm way of life but I'm sure that once I move out I'll miss it...

You will, sadly. I hate the dorms when I was there, couldn't wait to move out. Now I miss living right next to all my best friends, having parties whenever, playing video games all I wanted and just living the dream.

Yep, the space of a house is nice, but being able to drink round the clock with 20 of your closest buddies is awesome.

Unrelated, but would you mind sharing a bit about your experience joining the USAF? What made you want to, what you were doing before, what qualifications you needed, what you're doing now, etc. A PM is fine, even.

Are the dorms there pretty secure? The bases I've been on provided lockers and said anything unsecured isn't their responsibility.

It is! Not as heavy as I had expected after hearing "Take my bones away" for the first time and pre ordering, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

Haven't gotten any shit yet but a guy I know was asked by my asst. shop chief during an inspection "How much WoW do you play?!"... He has a triple monitor setup.

I'm Air Force as well, and they always gave me shit about my setup while I was in the dorms.

Why? Are computers bad mojo or something?

It wasn't clean enough, too many wires everywhere.

I work in Comm and they always think I am some sort of computer expert because I have 3 monitors.

I have the came CPU, an intel 2500k. I've had that thing over clocked to 4.4 ghz it's entire life, and it's still going strong. Love that dam thing.

In the dorms down the street you get a recliner in your room too!

I 'acquired' the recliner when I moved out.

Cool setup, my brother has that exact same tank model! I bought it for him for Christmas with accompanying Panzer used in Kursk.

I should get another tank to keep it company! The detail on it is superb.

The way you realigned the window puts the side exhaust fans at the front of the case, which does nothing for your video card and heatsink as they are intended. However after looking again it appears you have no fans on the side window, so I guess it changes nothing. If you are having cooling problems you may want to flip the window around and attach two exhaust fans. It would allow you to overclock higher and/or run cooler. Whichever you prefer.

Yeah, no fans on there yet but when I upgrade to a 770 or 780 soon that panel will definitely be switched and fans will be added.

Military life is normal for the most part. Especially outside the marines and army. I was worried too, but its kinda just a job. A job that requires you to almost die sometimes. Its good.

A nuke? Like on nuclear subs? I'm a flyer in the air force, I don't know much about the navy aside from the few navy buddies I have enjoy it and agree that its a pretty normal lifestyle.

A friend of mine was in the Air Force. He said it wasn't that different from college except everyone had money.

And shaved faces and haircuts, yeah. Oh and its way harder to get kicked out of the air force than college Lol. Dorm life in the air force is so fun its ridiculous.

How come my barracks setup didn't get as much attention as yours DX Cool rig either way
