Expensive case with CM options and modular power supply, but not a single one of those features used. He must have been in a hurry to defend his virginity.
I have the same case with a modular PSU. It's excellent for cable management if you just take the time to do it.
Ooooooo that's a perty one cleetus.
WOW... Ive never seen anyone put an SSD there... Nice thinking.
If you're talking about the red card that's a Soundblaster Z ;)
You actually can buy PCI -> 2.5" drive brackets though. I used to have two 32gb SSD's mounted that way (RAID 0 - back when SSD's were stupid expensive).
Didn't know it was 1993.
I didn't realize soundcards were pointless.
Drives me crazy to see a nice case like this, and the features be under-utilized.
Isn't your PSU a bit overkill for that kind of system?
Most definitely is. I'm running SLI GTX 780s on an 850w and have no issues.
How much power room do you ahve? i have a 760 and am wondering if thats enough for dual 780s? figure itd be really close.
It's severe overkill. His max power draw is going to only be around 375-400w from the PSU with that system. It's honestly stupid because since a PSU isn't perfectly efficient, there is going to be a fair bit of unused and wasted energy.
Wait what? How is it any less efficient than a 600W Platinum PSU? That thing is 90.8% efficient at 365W DC output, the only level it's more efficient is ~600W DC output where it's 91.7% efficient.
I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I'm not talking about PSU efficiency in regards to how well it is at converting power.
That's exactly what efficiency means in this case, it's the power lost in converting from AC mains to DC 12v/5v/3.3v for the computer. There really isn't any other type of efficiency in regard to the PSU (this is only kind of true, depending on the SMPS topology there's usually a DC-DC conversion from 12V to 5/3.3V in most higher end PSUs).
Hmm so if I have a Seasonic 860 platinum plus, would 2 GTX 770s in SLI be good? I always ask and want to see what other people say. I want to run a second 770 so bad.
1200 watts for your single GPU? and a zalman cooler? im so confused lol
Go big or go home.
Maybe he wants to have the option to upgrade in the future...
You never need 1200 watts unless youre going quad gpus lmao
750w would be more than enough to add a second graphics card.
Could replace the gfx with two titans, add fans, filtration system, actually have decent power output on his usb slots etc
That still wouldn't need anywhere close to a 1200w. A 750w could easily run that kind of system. I ran a i7-920 overclocked with a watercooling system and dual overclocked 480s off of a 750w 80 plus silver PSU and I never needed more power.
I dunno, according to my OpenEnergyMonitor system I'm creeping awfully close to that with 2 GTX Titans + 3930k (all OC'ed, all custom loop cooled, titans voltmodded). I can pull between 600-700W full loaded (synthetically of course)
Then you would run fine on a 750w...
Yes, but it's also cutting it closer than I'd honestly like.
I highly doubt OP is going to run three titans though. 1200w is so overkill even for SLI titans.
Shitty cable management, Bezels all over the place. I bet you get laid all the time, liar.
Sad this isn't the top comment..
How is the zalman cooler?
Dude. I love your Tintin poster. Those books were how I learned to read.
That's a really cool poster, I'm having trouble finding it on amazon, where'd you get it?
Why are people on the internet trying to take your virginity? Is "internet warrior" another term for "cell mate?"
Nice comp, PSU is a little more then you need, but at least you won't have to upgrade that for awhile.
That's not a red, black and green colour scheme is it? It feels like Christmas all over again!
Where'd you get the Tintin poster?
Those MDPC cables are worth the wait, got some white green and purple ones in the mail also.
Really interested in how well that zalman cooler is? what are your temps like? how is your experience so far?
Cables are a mess, completely overkill PSU and why did you cable tie cables to the drive cage? God damn it people!
This is just fucking atrocious. Stop bookmarking this shit.
