I have an honest question. I never understood why people dont just buy 1 or 2 bigger tvs.
I understand that you can snap windows to each screen but I really dont understand who would need that many windows unless its for a job.
A large TV would provide a lesser resolution and pixel density as compared to multiple monitors. It is also easier in the productivity standpoint, as segregation is a lot more useful than one might think (even in a home environment). Additionally, monitor placement is a lot more customizable as compared to running a single flat monitor. For example, if I wanted to game on 3 monitors, the bulk of my game would be on the middle monitor and the other two screens would curve around my head, providing me with peripheral vision. While this might not really provide any direct advantage while gaming, it does improve the immersion and over-all experience immensely.
