My new setup is a Sony Vaio Z laptop that connects to a docking station which hooks it up to the dual floating monitors, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc. Altogether it gives me 3 functional 1080p monitors. The desk is a motorized standing/sitting desk from GeekDesk - this is why the surge protector is sitting on the desk, so all the cables move properly when the desk is in standing or sitting mode.
Is that the aony VAIO z with the ivy bridge quad core CPU?
It's the last generation they came out with before they discontinued them. quad core i7, 8gb of ram, 256gb ssd, 1080p, and weighs as little as a macbook air. It's a seriously powerful and portable laptop - only downside is the really weak speakers, but I knew that before I bought it.
Lucky i really wanted to buy one but it was to late when i had the money.......
I had to buy it on eBay because they had just discontinued them when I went to order one. I think there are still some up for sale.
No there arnt anyt on ebay with the quad core :(
This is going to need a lot of cable management before it can be called minimalistic.
Screens look a bit high in the pic.
That's intentional. If you put the screens at eye level you tend to not slouch over.
I know. they just looked a bit too above eye level.
