Oh the thought has crossed my mind lol. I am keeping an eye on the wood to check for cracking or loose screws just in case it starts to give. Its really sturdy though, handles pullups on all sides of the frame easily.
You could use some angle brackets to reinforce the joints.
Reinforce everything that could break, and stress test it with a couple of really heavy friends :P
What laptop is that?
I think we have the same one :)
HP dv7 17", phenom II triple core, radeon 6550M graphics. Its getting a little dated now but she's got a year left before I upgrade.
Ah. I have a dv6.
Would you like to share your backround?
Same desk. Its a piece of shit.
Meh Ill be buying a real desk next year, so for $30 this one is fine to me. Holds my heavy duty monitor mount and has plenty of space. At the end of the year I can toss it without a second thought
I really like your setup, and I've been considering doing something like this when I go to school. Do you like sleeping up on that? Does it creak a lot?
A lot of college rooms are tight on space, especially if you're sharing a room so I totally recommend it. Just plan ahead, know what desk size, bed size, shelfing, all that stuff that you want to account for.
