It's next on the shopping list (after the r9 290x.) Any kit recommendations? I've seen an Ikea one mentioned here, but I think there is a brandless one that people have said is better...
You know that your mobo with pci-e 2.0 with be a pretty big bottleneck for the r9 290x?
Really? I hadn't heard that. I figured it would be something, but I hadn't heard "pretty big bottleneck." I'll do some more research. Any off the cuff numbers?
The r9 290x on normal operation would barely reach the bandwith throughput of pci-e 2.0
