I have Ubuntu installed on an internal SSD which I use for my development machine, and Windows 7 installed on another SSD for gaming and media. Let me know if you want anymore info :)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm a software engineer. I spend a lot of time coding in Ubuntu (also OSx on my laptop). It's really ideal.

Practically everything is easily available through the repos. If it isn't, the setup instructions are likely to be tested working on Ubuntu.

Servers I work with run Linux, so it's the same environment. Linux also comes with apt-get, so if I want to install something..like emacs, all I do is "sudo apt-get install emacs", and then boom, it's there. I find that I'm generally more efficient on Ubuntu because it retains an "operating system feel" while making me super efficient in the Terminal.

I tried to get ubuntu a while back and couldn't get it installed. Do you think it would be better over Windows 7 for graphic design?

Nice. I just ordered a 50 inch flatscreen/monitor that should be here soon. I'm gonna put mine on an articulating wall mount. Anyways I came here to say I really love that chair. (and of course the 50 inch)
