I know right, this station is done the right way, I mean dat liquid cooling system
I'm hoping the op knows that, it's about preference at that point because how sick it looks.
It's actually not done the right way. That color dye in the liquid cooling system is going to gum up the entire system over time.
You might be confusing Mayhem's Pastel (intended for daily use) with Mayhem's Aurora (which is a show liquid and has these shiny pearls that will gum up the loop).
That's just not true.
And you could argue that those right angles are going to create resistance in the water system. Still, so pretty.
45 degree angles don't do THAT much. You should use them whenever possible, but it's not too taxing.
Wow....just wow.... I though my green themed build was good, but man. This is just a work of art. Great job on this man, my favorite build yet
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
WOW thats amazing ..... But, how did you manage to do that curve on the tube near the cpu ?
I originally intended on not using any joints in the build, but I am terrible at bending acrylic (at least multiple bends in different planes).
Whoa, i did not realized using acrylic tubing was a thing ... anywho, i really appreciate peopple that take time into modding their build...
You also don't have to clean it out every 4-5 months.
Clean it out ? Do they actually get dirty ? How ?
That's phenomenal. I used to think the idea of watercooling was silly and dangerous, then I splashed out and got a new case (Cooler Master) with a CPU cooler.
Can't beat green (my favourite colour!) but my case has blue lights so I went for the blue backlit keyboard. But yes, it's very heavy! I'm used to sitting back and 'pulling' the keyboard closer with the arrow keys, did it once the other day and was worried I'd pull the keys out! Wasn't used to how heavy it was. But I'll never buy any other keyboard than mechanical.
I just bought a black Ducky Shine III (Cherry MX Red) w/ White LED and R.A.T. MMO 7 (Glossy black, w/silver).
I've seen a lot of gaming setups on here, this, by far, is one of the most impressive rigs here. Thanks for sharing!
Yea. its a really schiitty build.
Question...was teh watercooling worth it?
Definitely not in a performance standpoint. It's better to keep the money that would have been spent and save it for hardware upgrades later (especially considering the cost of a fully fledged, custom WC setup).
Eh ill probably do what you said(not doing it for performance i just really hate fans) and get a nice Geforce gtx 650TI then upgrade my cpu and go liquid :3
Well, you still need fans for WCing. The bonus is that you can run them at much slower RPMs to the point where it's almost silent.
This. my normal RPMS is about 1600rpms(on 120mm fans)
Yessssss that works..(do you have the original? i dont run portrait ) and it looks cool as fuck :D thanks.
It very well can be. As soon as you bleed all the air from the loop (very quick process for me) and if your fans aren't set above 1000rpms, you will be hard pressed to hear the system running from a few feet away.
TWO TITANS?! What do you do with such power?
I'm finally able to play a game of Hearts at a playable FPS. No one can stop me now!
You might need to throw in another Titan if you want to even consider minesweeper.
Actually the real strength of Titan is it's double precision compute performance, games only need single-precision computing so a Titan isn't made for gaming at all. It's for scientific/engineering computing. That's why it has 6GB of memory and not 3. You'd be much better off with a 780 or a 780 Ti, they have better features for gamers and are several hundred dollars cheaper.
This may surprise you, but he was probably joking.
I guess you were trying to be in on the joke? You thought your response was so funny you had to post it twice?
No, I wasn't trying to be funny. I'm just trying to stop the misinformation that floats around the Titan being a good gaming card. It's a several-hundred dollar mistake.
Take it easy man. He didn't say Titan is the end all for gaming and OP has said he's gotten most of the components used. Considering what the Titan is selling for on eBay now, it's not a bad deal if you want something that has 6GB of VRAM. The OP actually has 3 x 1440p monitors as well.
This is much akin to running a Quattro or FireGL as a gaming card.
Yes, it's almost as expensive too.
I know he was joking, jackass. Jesus christ I know what sarcasm is. I was referring to his unnecessarily expensive choice in hardware.
It's his money for christ sake. If he can afford to have a setup like that I'm sure he's not strapped for cash. Chill out.

Wait. What about those wrist rests?
Didn't think they were worthy of a component slot haha.
Holy crap this is wonderous.
What do you do for a living...?
Yea really. I too am curious
He spends money for a living. It looks like he's doing pretty well.
Do you realize how much of an asshole you're being?
I was just being sarcastic, everyone's dead serious all of a sudden?
You got a bad rep in this thread with the big paragraph about titans. While you are correct, you came across as being patronizing. So, when I see this, I think you're being patronizing again.
3 sentences is a big paragraph? lol. I don't mean to be patronizing, but I don't like the spread of misinformation and ignorance. But fuck me, right? I will enjoy forgetting about this sub and this thread. It'll free up a couple wasted minutes of my day.
Well I guess if you're on a tight budget this is the way to go.
Are you overclocking everything. If so, specs?
I was able to get:
Very nice, any bench scores? Also what's the spec on the liquid?
What is the unit that you're using to connect all the fans together? Looks like you have two of them? Links?
Those are really interesting... did you have to add extenders to get to all the fans from that connector? Can't imagine being able to a bottom fan to the connector with no extension...
There's two of those Bitspower "Power Station" things. I only had to use two extenders and both of those were for the top power station (rear exhaust fan and the top fan right next to it).
Very interesting... looks like it works well though.. I may switch to something like that... my setup is a bit of a mess in fan management...
Fan controller with multi 3 to 1 connectors might work best if you're willing to put something in the optical bay. I didn't want to deal with fan controllers with this build because I think putting anything in the optical bays for the 900D kills the look because of how wide the case is and I knew anything was probably going to brush up against the reservoirs. I lose big time on being able to control the fans with precision so as long as you're willing to make that tradeoff, my kind of setup would be great.
True... I haven't even tried my hand at water Chong yet but eventually I will... however being able to control fam spies is something that I think I'd very much like to do
Definitely. I've heard that folding on Titans is quite good because of the double precision performance.
I see someone saw the paragraph blocks :p
Somebody's got money to burrrrrrrrrrrrn.
Nice rig :)
Question.
have you used the mic at all on the fidelio x1?
how is it?
whats your overall opinion about the headphones?
are you satisfied with your purchase?
anything you don't like about them?
I am not aware of a mic on the headphones...
The philips website says there is an inline mic on the cord.
They lied. It must be another mic or another version maybe.
Thanks. it must be another version. the cord on the website looks different.
Yup. They are great, but I haven't used a bunch of headphones to compare.
How do you like your schiit stack there? I'm thinking of investing in that exact pair myself.
They're pretty good, but I don't know if I'm the right person to ask. I've only used this and the Audioengine D1 and the Modi/Magni is definitely better. I can use a reasonably sized USB cord to power the DAC to boot.
So lush! Very jealous, even if the lack of symmetry displeased my ocd.
Oh my laaaaawd. This is the sexiest water cooling build I've ever seen.
No one mentioned that but the most exciting for me is that RIGHT ANGELED 24 pin connector. Where did you get it?
This is a real gaming setup, not one of those crunchy H90 ones.
Wow...that's a wiiiiide stereo field. Does that give you accurate monitoring?
I doubt it, but I went more for looks over function and I wanted to keep a relatively clean and uncluttered desk. It still sounds great though.
Very cool. Kickass build too :)
The Master Race is proud!
What kind of desk is that?
Wow, very nice. Yup, bigger desks = bigger/better possibilities.
What are the pads you use in front of your keyboard?
Where did you get the power cables? Those are amazing.
Oh man. I've made a huge mistake. I completely forgot to mention that and I'm doing the person who made these for me a huge disservice. Thank you for pointing that out.
And now I am buying new cables for my desktop.
A5+. Looks like A2s because they look small in the pictures.
This is amazing. One day when the money gods shower me with wealth I will build something this epic.
I think i need to change my shorts
I don't need porn for months now. That's enough of it.
I didn't realize Bane sold you some Venom to make your computer super strong. Very nice.
You know your cable management is godly when you can have a back window.
Haha. When I got the case, the original panel has cracks on all the corners so Corsair was kind enough to ship another panel. I opted to use the acrylic panel for both sides since no one will notice the cracks while it's in the back.
I have 75% of your wallpapers.
Edit: And mousepad
Assuming you got them from Interfacelift? Great site.
Indeed, I don't see it posted around much, most of my wallpapers are from there. That quality selection A+
Whenever I see these amazing gaming setups I just want to see a video showing a bit of gameplay on that bad boy. Care to demo it?
Holy fuck. What are you doing that you need nearly $1,000 worth of RAM??
I didn't pay a grand for the RAM. I wouldn't have even considered it if I did. The prices in the parts list are not what I paid. It's more to show what the parts are.
I use PrimoRamdisk Professional and PrimoCache and they work great -- stable and as background-y as you'd expect.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into both.
This is incredible! Can you give an estimate of how much it all costs, PC, peripherals, and desk included? And is this a workstation or do you just make enough to make an amazing gaming rig?
Probably around 6-7K if you include the furniture, desk, monitors and peripherals. It would be easy to cut the cost in half or more if you choose more reasonable components and 1080p monitors, but this was more of a hobby/project than something practical.
What number is your keyboard? I'm number 150!!!
156/999. Wow, we're pretty close. Keyboard bros!
What switches? I have Browns!
How you people justify spending 5k on pc's? Is it for work?
Impossible to justify, but it would be hilarious to hear someone trying to label a custom watercooling loop as something "for work". This build was more a project/hobby than anything else. Same way people spend an absurd amount of money on aftermarket car mods/upgrades, high end sports equipment, etc...
Amen brother. Your build will be a road map for my next build in future.
I need to find someone that can build me one of those beasts
Give me the money and I'll do it. I'll totally not run off with it ;)
Quick question.
What do you use the big screen for?
Just general TV/background noise. It was there so I opted to mount it above the desk instead of putting it somewhere else.
Having the TV up there feels like it would be really annoying. Is it?
Not if his chair is tiltable. Just lean back and enjoy :)
Right on the money.
Sooo, what do you do for a living?
Sweet build, but why did you photoshop the windows?
What keyboard is that? Im thinking about getting myself a Ducky. Any recommendations?
Where did you get that sleeved headphone cable from?
Sorry if this is stupid but.... how exactly do you make everything so dust free ?!!
Pictures are deceiving (I cleaned prior to photos). Dust always finds a way. There are filters on all the intakes so that helps quite a bit.
I'm not that happy with my graffiti tkl wrist rest, not even had it 6 months and it's starting to peel on the corners. Think I'm going make my own wooden rest.
I haven't had any issues except the bottom sometimes leaves black marks that I need to scrub away and the black color is starting to fade a little bit (same problem with all black cloth pads/mousepads it seems).
Awesome looking build! The only thing that bugs me though is the monitors aren't all the same D:
Hnggg, the Titans. One day I'll be there...one day.
Put TGRI on that reservoir and you got yourself a sweet ninja turtles rig
That looks so awesome. I didn't know about these headphones and that Envy-Thread-thing totally convinced me of buying these.
They're awesome. The comfort is unmatched, but the earpads being unreplaceable is something to be aware of. I wouldn't buy them at $300 though. The massdrop deal for $190 was perfect timing for me.
Incredible build, so damn clean. Also, nice Ducky. I ordered the Shine 3 yesterday (Blue LED, Red Switches). Can't wait to get rid of this Razer Blackwidow.
I came three times in the process of viewing these images...
Can somebody link me to the keyboard and the asus monitor. one of the nicest setups ive seen to date.
That's quite the porn machine
You rich, lucky son of a bitch. How I envy thee.
Just amazing setup. You should run a 3DMARK because I think you would be able to get to the hall of fame!
