I had the same headphones, until the "extender piece" on the right snapped in half, received a new one though, but I switched to a Plantronics Gamecom which has a bit worse sound but is a lot more comfortable
Yeah that's my only complaint is that it hurts my ears after a few hours.
Mine are really comfortable. I wear them for 3 hours straight with no issues.
I'm still quite surprised by the performance of these laptops that run comparable to desktops over 3X the size.
It runs amazingly. Gets a little hot at times, after extended periods of gaming, but a little laptop cooling pad solves that easily, for me anyways.
Yeah I almost considered just getting laptop for bit extra for the portability but ultimately wanted to just build my own desktop. looking at a low cost ultrabook or the dell venue 8 pro to use as laptop/note taking device for school now.
Yeah, I'm planning on building a desktop and buying a cheapish ultrabook or notebook for college/tech school.
Yeah the dell tablet with keyboard would cost like 300 bucks for an 8" tablet running windows 8.1 and has office preinstalled. worth it for that alone
I'm considering that as well. I'm thinking I will probably need a laptop though for Instrumentation or IT, which I'm planning on going into. Good luck with your research! If you have any questions on this series of laptop or windows 8 pm me and I'll do my best to help!
How are liking it? I'm thinking about getting the y510p.
Its a really nice laptop. I wish I had gotten the Y500, but money didn't allow at the time. It runs most of my games on Max, I run em on high just for the extra frames. I can show you a vid of me playing BF3 on high if you'd like.
I'll put it in a reply to the post.
Sure let me check that out!
Check comments, I put some videos on a reply.
It looks like it handles it really well, I like the 007 entrance on the BF4 video ;)
Thank you! I tried, didn't work out like I planned. :P
For anyone wondering how it runs games, here is Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 Beta run on high.
When you are not playing games, how long does the battery last?
Around 3-4 hours on power saver mode. With wifi and power saver its around 3 max
Wow, that keyboard backlighting is stunning. I was going to get a Lenovo but did hear great things about the Ideapad quality, and didn't appreciate the large screen bezels. Looks good though
Yeah I don't like the screen bezels much, its really bad for attracting fingerprints. I wouldn't buy a laptop/keyboard that wasnt bbacklit now that I've had this. Its really nice for late night papers.
Do you have issues with the keyboard? On my Y410p you sometimes need to mash keys for them to register. Also, have you had any issues with wifi? I'm looking in to getting a nano adapter to see if that will solve any issues. All in all it's a good laptop and I like it, too bad that whole "SLI Ultrabay" thing turned out to be a sham.
