It's my friend's. It's likely a hand-me-down from her brother, who got one of the all-in-one h80 water coolers. The zalmans were highly rated back in the day, but the h212+'s beat them out on the price/performance ratio. I don't really think you can go wrong with a zalman, but it's probably not the best bang for your buck.
Yeah I have a 212+ and it's great for me. But I have an nzxt phantom case and want to put another fan on the side panel. A 154mm cooler (like the 212+) won't allow me to fit it. I've seen the zalmans around for cheap and was wondering how it would work. I think I might leave it and save the money though.
I bought a zalman just like that one on sale. It worked great back when I was using a core 2 quad :P
