Yeah I know it's by far not the best bang/buck but I'm kinda getting it for cheap used.

Bottlenecks. You won't get as much performance as you would with an Intel. Your card is being held down because the processor can't keep up.

Hmm, ok thanks for the info. So what CPU is best suited for a 690? Also, it's an 8 core, it's not that bad.

I'd look into a i5 4670 at absolute minimums. It isn't that bad considering it's an 8 core, but it's more suited for mid-range and upper mid-range graphics card. What you got there is the absolute high ends, you need a higher quality CPU to run a higher quality GPU.

Huh, well I guess I'll just save up for an i7 then, I want this to last a while.

Honestly I don't think it would be worth it. Your CPU is not bottle necking your GPU as badly as that guy is making it out to be and if you were to get an i7 you would have to buy a whole new mother board. You would end up spending a ton more money for maybe few extra frames per second.

B..But I need Ultra settings for ARMA 3! /s
