Cool setup dude! Like the lights and very clean paint job
Thanks man! I recently installed the lights. I think they were a worthy investment.
I have never understood HS people having this kind of money. I saved for a whole year, no spending at all, for my first $500 PC, had to share a room, and had 6/1 internet. Last year. Now I am using 15/1 college internet, using a $1300 PC setup B/C Low income HS grant, bonds, exponentially increasing side jobs, and college. 16. And you just happen to have over $2000 in stuff before legal working age.
I realize I was raging a bit. Plus side: I moved off mac and have learned to build and fix PCs. And get $10 a semester in scholarships. Not poor enough to be poor but not middle class powers activate!
Yeah, I'm 19 working full-time and only recently got a gaming rig (that wasn't my Macbook), so I know how you feel.
I bought everything on this desk with my own money except for the "monitor" which is actually a TV, and the keyboard. I received the keyboard as a gift. The money didn't come from "allowance" either. I did jobs around the neighborhood, sold things, etc. I am also into videography and editing, so people pay me to film and edit their videos. I shared a room with my brother for 5 years, and as this years birthday present from my parents, he moved out of my room and I got a new bed and desk. The couch was in the families "media room" (which consisted of a tv and a couch) Don't just assume.
So a highschool freshman was able to save up 2 grand for a MacBook Pro by selling shit and doing odd jobs. You must have been making bank. I waited 30 hours a week for 2 months to buy my 2400 dollar one this year. Crazy good saver I guess.
In highschool you get to spend more money because you dont have to pay rent or any bills all the money you earn can be spent on whatever you want
I forget that that stuff actually happens. Sold things is a terrible way of proving you did it, but for the work I assumed everyone avoids their neighbors. Mine do.
Quite the fortunate high school freshman. I was raising money to buy a PS3 when I was your age just so I could get a taste of the next gen. Happy gaming!
Freshman here too... Damn, dude. Nice.
Why is no one mentioning that this kid drinks diet coke? Are you aspiring to be a forty year old business executive?
In case you're wondering the artificial sweeteners in diet coke are worse than corn syrup.
