I originally had dual 27" LED monitors, but wanted something a big bigger. Although I'd love to have the Asus 4K 32" LED monitors, I'm not trying to shell out over $7,000 for two of them - went with the next best thing: Samsung 32" LED TVs that were on sale over Black Friday for $349 each - have them calibrated and also on "Game Mode," which actually does eliminate the lag almost entirely, both for console gaming and PC. Overall, I like it - I plan on replacing the stands and wall mounting them to keep it flush and clean. Will post up more later!
Sure this isn't dual 23" ?
How you could manage to game on TV monitors, I have no idea.
For LED TVs, the picture quality is actually really good. Like I said, I enabled "Game" mode, which does eliminate a lot of lag and then I spent some time calibrating them and disabling all the additional unnecessary processing. As for sitting close to them - it's not too annoying if you're used to having big monitors in front. My desk is fairly deep so it's not that bad. I do plan on wall mounting these side by side so they'll be a bit further away from my face; the stands separate the LEDs from the wall by a bit and take a good chunk of space as well.
I have a samsung 40" like these, when I connect a computer the picture isn't very good at all.. Regardless of the game mode, the image just doesn't seem smooth (for lack of better wording).
Is there something I'm missing in the settings?
No. Its only a 1920x1080 image. That may look crisp on your laptop or smaller monitor, but blown up to 40" the pixel density is going to be much lower. Try turning your sharpness down and and putting on a "game" mode without additional image processing.
