Computer Setup

An old TV I used for console gaming in high school. She doesn't mind the huge pixels and it doubles as our movie watching screen.
My god that chair must be wonderful
It's supposed to help with lower back and core stability. It seems to work for me and I can sit on this thing for hours and hours without a sore butt!
Thought the same thing. I've never seen anything like that!
Doesn't the back support defeat the purpose?
Whats that NZXT temperature module on the front? that doesnt come with the kraken x60, right?
Unfortunately no, that's a NZXT Sentry LX. Without it, my computer was so loud with 14 fans including the GPUs. It comes with temp probes as well, but I felt that they just added clutter to my case so I don't use them.
Would you recommend getting it?
If you want something that is a little flashier and will control 5 fans, then yes. It has worked flawlessly for me since I got it. There are a few other models that are single bay that will work just as well if you aren't looking for something quite so big.
Uses: Gaming, photo editing, girl things.
You understand my feels? haha
I love fairy tales like this, but I have to remind myself of one thing; no real girl out there likes Dr. Who, Pokemon, AND PC gaming all at the same time. Their kind are just legends, like unicorns, or your friend's uncle who "worked at Nintendo" when you were a kid.
HAHA! I only recently got her into Pokemon with the release of X and Y. She is a huge Zelda/Doctor Who/LOTR fan. I have to slap myself every day just to make sure I'm actually still alive ;)
Just wondering, why didn't you screw your SSD into one of the hard drive cages? I see a lot of setups like this with the solid state separated, and I haven't learned why
Purely for looks. I think SSDs look cool and they don't need to be bolted down like a HDD so I just decided to put it somewhere that you could see it in the window. Cable management just happened to work out really well for that spot.
That explains it, I definitely agree with them looking cool!
Nice setup, how do you like the mouse? I need something to replace my broken deathadder and was looking at going with this one.
It takes a little getting used to since it has three buttons, an extra one for your ring finger. Once you get that down it's really handy in gaming, but also in general stuff, I have it set to delete. Macros are really easy to set up as well. I've always found Logitech stuff to just be good.
Ya know I actually really like wood paneling.
We live in a heavily wooded area and are outdoors men. When we remodeled our basement we tried to bring a log cabin feel to it. This is the result :)
Yea it's nice, good job.
Please don't leave your wife hanging with that mouse and keyboard set up.
Christmas is just around the corner ;)
Ooh what are you gonna get her?(I have a wife too and am a hypocrite)
I always let her pick things out so she has something that she likes the look of. She showed interest in the Sidewinder X4, but also about anything that was mostly white. Mechanical keyboards didn't really spark her interest and I'm kinda glad..
I can't afford another one right now.
Oh. haha. Yeah my wife doesn't see the value in upgrading her mouse/keyboard for the same reason, so that's really the only explanation for her current set up.
We're in the same boat. She never plays anything super fast paced or competitive. Usually Sims, Skyrim, RCT3, emulators with a controller, etc etc, so a super high performance peripheral setup wouldn't really be used to its' full potential.
Just a warning, the sidewinder keyboard series from microsoft is utter shit. Avoid them like the plague.
I kind of want her wallpaper. but because i'm here i'll say that's a really nice set up.
I had it set as Gandalf in pink Hello Kitty robes and decided ,since she's obsessed with the Doctor, that this only made sense! And thanks :)
I have that exact same Osmium keyboard, and let me tell you... you are gonna love it! The MX browns kick ass, and the light adjustment knobs are wicked. I have no complaints about it thus far. Have fun with yours! :D
I've had the board since about midway through the summer and I can agree to the fullest! Even the box was bad ass. I will never go back to rubber domes! :D
Thanks you kindly! As long as she has something to get on pinterest and tumblr she is happy! I used that TV for quite a while and it's night and day difference now. The wall mounts I'm using will rotate out and away from the desk over to where our bed is. It works out really well for 720p movie rips.
How do you like the g600?
I didn't like it at first. The three finger hold threw me off, but now I love it. Having lots of buttons for macros is great and it frees up my left hand when doing productivity type tasks. I would recommend for a palm or claw style.
I need to find a new one to replace my deathadder, and I've been playing path of exile, and skyrim, so I could use some more buttons. I've heard good things about the new naga as well, so I don't know yet. Unfortunately I have a fingertip style grip, so most mice will be uncomfortable after a little bit. Thanks for your input though, your setup looks awesome!
That 'desk' is so ghetto
