What is wrong with a Dell? They make very usable preconfigured systems. I just finished playing Metro 2033 and Lastlight on my 3 year old XPS with decent frame rates and graphics.
Honestly not everyone has the need, desire or the time to build a rig. I wouldn't do it, I have the skill set, I just don't care that much. Besides I really prefer a portable and they are for the most part complete units with little mod potential.
Man, I love building my rigs, but nine times out of ten when people ask me about new computers, I recommended a preconfigured, and usually it's a Dell desktop, or an Asus/Dell laptop.
Yeah I had a dimension since '03 and I definitely got my use out of it. Started having to do a factory reinstall every few months and ran hot, but other than that it was a great computer.
This is what i hate about having a laptop, there is no good place to put a wacom tablet. Put it in front of laptop, reaching keyboard is difficult, put it to the side and using it becomes awkward.
I'm pretty sure wacoms have a setting where you can change its orientation to landscape, if that would even help. I get what you're saying though.
I used to own a Dell. Actually I still have it somewhere, but I finally decided to save some money and build my own computer. Great experience. Nice station though :)
Shoot a pic of the insides, or post specs....or both
WTF? 'Forgive me for owning a del'' - Those specs are actually really good!
