That info screen is the coolest thing I've ever seen, for someone who has very little knowledge of coding would this be possible? I'm not completely in the dark on it, but I might as well be.

It's a great little project to start learning with. That said, easiest way is just run Google calendar in kiosk mode. That way you can add dates and tasks from your phone and computer.

What is the model of your monitor backlight? I want something very similar to what you have.
