Why'd you get rid of the Asus Xonar DX? Was the Beyerdynamic an upgrade?
The Xonar is a sound card - I had it running with some Sennheiser HD558s. Their shell started cracking so I decided it was time for an upgrade.
I have the same card (I think, I know it's one of the mid-range Xonars). I'm pretty pleased with it. I only use it with my 2.1 speakers. Does your AudInst (I thought your pic was calling it the Beyer) work well for speakers too, or just phones?
Yeah it's good for speakers too, I have my M-Audios hooked up to it. Although its primary purpose is definitely amplifying beefy headphones like mine.
