Very nice setup.. What are the specs? Also if you own the place you can hide the cable from TV down inside the wall. That's the only thing that doesnt fit in.

I use Korean Key caps to help me type when I am typing in Korean. I am not Korean but I am learning it to help me with my job!

What mic stand do you use?

I use the Rhode PSA1

Been using that for a few weeks now and recommend it to anyone who uses a mic. It may seem like an unnecessary expense to some people but it is worth it.

AH sweet, I was thinking about getting the same mic stand. With hearing good things about ti I might pick it up for my AT-2000 mic.

Do super nice mics make any difference to voip stuff? From what ive seen, there is such a huge compression issue that no matter how good your mic is, the person on the other end will say you sound like shit.

High-end mics have better sensitivity patterns, meaning they will only pick up what's right in front of them. Cheap mics will pick up the whole room. (this is an oversimplification, but you get the idea).

That is too much of an oversimplification.

You're absolutely right, I was trying to simplify the situation. I may have over-done it. a quality cardioid condensor on a shockmount with a pop filter will help with VoIP call quality, but will be an even greater help to podcasters.

Ah gotcha. I have a very nice mic but its an omnidirectional one meant for calibration and such.

How comfortable is that chair? Right now I sit in the chair that my University supplies in their dorms and my back cannot take it for another year so I was thinking of buying a DX racer.

I love it. Im a big guy, 6'5" and about 300 pounds and it fits me really well. My ONLY complaint is that the material doesnt breathe so my legs and butt get really warm sometimes. A quick 2 minute walk around and I'm good to go again.

I'm about 6'1 so if you can fit in it then I can be pretty confident. My roommate likes to keep the thermostat around 80 and I'm in FL so humidity, I may just have to get a seat cover or something to throw down over the material. Are the cushions firm or like a memory foam feel?

It does make sense. This is definitely something I will look into getting. I just wish there was a store nearby that sold them so I could go give 'em a joyride.

What do you use the SM7b for? I'm genuinely curios as I usually see a USB condenser or just condensers in general when people show their gaming setups.

I use it for Broadcasting and school. I go to Full Sail University in Orlando FL, for Show Production which is like live broadcasting and event production.

That is my dream setup, I'm extremely jealous. The only thing that I would change is the desk. An "L" desk is a necessity for me on order to allow me to have my computer space and my school work space.

Yeah. I have two desks here .The other is not pictures. The other desk is same thing, just smaller. So instead of 72in wide, its 60in wide. It houses an iMac, and various other tools.

How do you people watch so many screens at once? Clearly I need more eyes or something because I feel like my 2 monitors is already too much.

All at once may be too much, but often a 3rd or 4th monitor is for occasional things. Email in one, coolcomputersetups in another, video in a 3rd and maybe some other project in a 4th?

So for me, I use them for work. Generally I have to have multiple windows open, including Skype, Teamspeak, and another custom built chat system. This doesn't include our backend, and other tools so three monitors is really nice for all that.

Well call me a casual. I just have a 27" 1440p with a 22" in portrait next to it and I haven't ever felt shorthanded.

Does the mouse pad help with 360 no scopes?

That's cool, I guess some people already thought of putting bucket seats on wheels as office chairs. I really want to take a similar seat from the same model as my 93 corvette and turn it into an office chair. I'd be eternally comfortable but I don't want to take my own seats out.

Its actually really good. If your a lighter or smaller person than, I some of the smaller models come with lumbar pillows for extra support.

I did buy the mouse but it was from my boss at the MLG office.

I got that same mouse and both those mousepads (one is covered in sc2 signatures) I got my mouse for free from a steelseries rep for walking with her to her hotel through a dark part of Dallas though :)

I use the TV for when I'm watching movies or TwitchTV streams. Its also great for when im at my other desk and want to put content up. I'm also going to connect it to an Apple TV soon so I can throw my MacBook pro up There.

Does it ever bother your neck or anything looking up like that? I've been considering something similar.

Im not sure yet. Its something I just finished last night. I find that when I'm sitting straight up in my chair and looking up it is a little annoying, however if I lean back a little I'm golden. I do wish I had lowered it a smidge but meh its awesome either way!

Why got with 660tis when you can get 7950s, which are much better for large resolutions?

When I originally built the computer it was just one 660ti. So when I recently wanted a second, I just bought another of the same thing.

But why get a 660ti to start with if the plan was triple monitors?
