This does not look like it belong to a highschooler
I've got a bunk bed and a rug with colorful shapes on it. What adult would go for that setup?
Yeah, that rug is seriously having me question my grasp on interior design. I must have it.
Just a question: how do you feel about that headset? Would you recommend?
Well, it was $60 and for the price, it's outstanding. It's obviously not the best on the market, though. it major drawback though is the cord can get annoying. I think the audio quality is great though. I use it for watching movies and listening to music on my computer as well as using it for gaming and it holds up fine. It's also got a manual dial for the bass so you can "crank dat bass up" for whatever reason. The mic itself sounds decent, it's not super clear like a $200 standalone microphone would cost, but it's way better than the mic your laptop might have built in. It has a foam sleeve over it that can be removed and prevents white noise from breathing, etc which is also really nice. Another feature is that it's also Xbox 360 compatible.
Sounds good, thanks for the detail! Nice gaming setup btw.
Supposedly audiophile headphones + modmic/cable mic performs much better.
That rug is cool man, be proud of it!
I dunno. If you can get a job that's close enough where you don't have to drive you don't really have many expenses. Pretty much your whole paycheck could go toward this stuff assuming you don't go out much and still live at home.
The monitor is a dead giveaway. Keep working that summer job. It's a rite of passage.
:P the rug is because my chair was ripping up the carpet. it's kinda childish but it's all I have at the moment
No, please don't get rid of it, the rug really ties the room together.
CONFIRMED OP is indeed in high school - the Big Lebowski reference went right over his/her head haha.
I saw The Big Lebowski a while ago, and now that you mention it, I remember the rug-stealing scene. I don't see what that has to do with me being in high school though
Okay :) I've actually had the rug since I was born, so it is kinda special
Lets just hope nobody pees on it.
No man, I actualy am gonna buy a carpet now.;)
To the right of the monitor there is a green glowing square. What is it?
It recharges the wireless mouse.
It's the dock/wireless transmitter for the Razer Mamba mouse
One of my favorite wallpapers you have there. How do you like the G19, and specs?
I wouldn't get a G19, it is way too expensive considering it isn't mechanical.
Mechanical is where it's at. Once I got my Das, I never thought twice about going back to domes.
It's interesting - you can tell how much research somebody put into their setup based on how much research they put into their peripherals. A neat little litmus test.
But.. what if I researched and picked the Das over the Ducky and the KBT. What if it happened to suit me better for MY tastes?
Yup, that's why it's in that general direction. More people tend to get a Das without researching than somebody with a Kustom, for sure, but whether that'd hold with your three I wouldn't know.
The screen is useful. And has many official and third party applets. Once I regularly use are Teamspeak, Borderlands 2, BC2, etc.
The G19's a great keyboard, I love it. I find it good for typing as well as gaming, although it was hard to get used to at first because I'm used to using the weak keyboard on my MacBook. For gaming though, it's amazing! And by specs, are you referring to the computer or the entire setup?
Do you prefer the Goliathus Control version vs the speed version with the mamba? I have the mamba with destructor2 pad but it seems like it skips when trying to do accurate small movements. Was thinking about giving goliathus a try but don't know which version is better. I've tried adjusting the DPI and other settings all around but same issues.
I haven't tried the speed version, but I feel like it would be too much and would make aiming a pain. I don't know though. you may be able to compensate with a lower DPI if it's too much for certain games.
Ah yes, a very spoiled high schooler.
Meh, this took me a couple years to save up for. It's not like my parents paid for it...I'd consider that spoiled.
Spoiled in what way? OP worked to pay for his set-up. You sound bitter.
It was a joke, I'm in high school myself.
What is the thing on your computer that holds your headset I desperately need one.
You should read the previous comments.
Dude you have no idea how long I have been looking for the exact sulotion you have for haning your headset. Where did you get that ?
It's a built on feature of the case ( I own one as well). It just has a little latch that you can pull down to rest headphones on or you can pop it back up to keep it out of the way. Awesome case, I love mine.
Something cheap and easy you could try... Get one of those 3M plastic wall hooks with the quick release elastic and stick it to the side if your case, or wherever you need it. That's what I did on my girlfriend's case and it works perfectly.
Great idea ! thanks !
It's not a separate piece, it came with the computer case. My computer case is a gaming case and they're putting it on a lot of them now. I don't know if they make attachments but you could always buy a new one and move your components into it. Although I don't know if it's worth it unless you keep your computer up on your desk
My computer is on my desk but I'm not going to buy a case solely on the fact that I can hang my headphones on them. My HAF is serving me just fine for that moment. But thanks for the response !
I'm in Secondary school too. And now I hate you.
Even though you have Star Trek: Generations in the picture, I'm still going to give you an bookmark.
Nice high school computer setup, totally relevant.
That is not a very ergonomic work space. You should give yourself one m³ for your legs.
What is the name of that monitor?
Ahhhh that case! Definitely adding that to my up coming build
Did you use a tiny bit of HDR on the first two images? The lighting looks so... not camera like. I like it!
What is that hook you are hanging your headset off of?
Your next step is getting a real mechanical keyboard. Those cost a few hundred.
Nice PC,can I ask how much all of this was in total.
I'm all in highschool and wants to build a pc,
I don't understand what high school has to do with anything?
It took him a year to get all the parts, he's probably just proud of what he's accomplished. No need to get offensive.
I hardly see what deems it a "piece of shit."
Why do you have to be such an asshole about something this guy is proud of? Hell I love my "gaming setup" but this guys is way better! All that should matter is that YOU personally like YOUR station!
I'm completely serious. I'm proud of what I call a "gaming setup" too, and it's nowhere close to OP's.
Reported for breaking rule 2 of the coolcomputersetups
Because you broke it. Stop being so smug.
Like you're one to talk about being smug.
If this station is a piece of shit, I'd love to see how amazing yours is!
I'm still revising it, but some of the shit I have in the mail include: 3 U2713HMs, a 3930k, 2 titans, full watercooling.
You're a fucking douche, and it has nothing to do with your computer.
