Interesting, my first thought was that you had a x32 bit OS, but you have x64... what motherboard do you have?
It's the stock motherboard. P5LP-LE. I thought it could be just cuz it doesn't support more then 4gb but in the bios is shows all the ram, and in windows properties it shows it all. I don't understand.
Crucial website says it only supports 4gb also. I just don't understand why it boots with no problems and recognizes it then.
If there are two sources saying that it only supports 4GB, that it's pretty much true. Crucial is a very reliable source. Time to upgrade though!
The intel site says that the 945g chipset only supports 3.5gb. I'm getting a new motherboard asap.
Go for a CPU, Motherboard, and Memory upgrade.
I'm gonna have to do it one piece at a time during the next couple months. Money's kind of tight. Got twin boys on the way.
I donate plasma so I can have money for toys:) check it out. You go twice a week for and hour and you'll get $60 a week.
Right now I'm installing a new hard drive. I will check virtual memory size when the install is done. What would I be looking for?
