What kind of specs are you running with these two monitors? :)
I knew someone would ask this :) Specs:
-i7 3770 3.4GHz
-GTX 670
-16GB Corsair Ram at 1600Mhz
-128Gb SSD
-1 TB HDD
-750W PSU
-Asus P8Z68 GEN3/Pro
-Coolermaster CPU cooler
Thanks for the reply!
I thought I would have to go SLI to cope with the gaming but I don't need AA anymore so it copes so much better than expected :) AC4 I got near max without AA!
Someone tell me what is AA+? I know it's anti-aliasing but what is that?
Just wondering how is gaming on 1440p with a 670 can it handle it?
How is gaming with a single 670? I have a 670 FTW edition and was thinking of getting one of these monitors but wasn't sure about the fps/ gfx at least not without overheating

Dude that's a dope pen
How much did the system cost you?!
I7=170
gtx 670=200
motherboard=75
ram=80
ssd=50
hdd=50
psu=60
case=50
fan=30
keyboard=20
mouse=22
screens=440
I bought a few of the parts second hand like HDD, Graphics Card and Processor
So in total £1247 , I think quite cheap considering how this is a monster of a set up?
Nothing really, as along as you ensure it is good quality.
That's got to run like dogshit with that card with games?
You only run a game on one monitor when you only have 2, so no games won't run that badly.
670 is a capable enough card. I played BF3 on my 1440p monitor with one for quite some time.
How much VRAM on the GTX 670? I have the same/similar card and I was considering doing dual 1440p.
Could you post your wallpaper? It looks amazing!
Second this. Background and setup is awesome.
I have never really thought about getting a 1440p monitor. Everyone I see is really expensive so are they really good? 1080p-1440p just doesnt seem like an insane jump. How do you like yours? Just curious! Also, what light strip is that behind the desk? Been looking to get one!
I had 1080p 27 before and as I have both a retina phone and ipad it started to annoy me. So I decided to make the jump up in total for both screens it cost me £450 (about $760) now the text is unbelievable clear and I can not tell you how much of a improvement IPS is, I would most definitely upgrade (make sure you get a perfect pixel one!). The strip lighting is from http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008H40EGG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1388483214&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165 it is great for reading at night too! Thank You for your questions :)
1080p -> 1440p is quite a lovely jump.
How do you get a custom wallpaper on the start screen?
For Windows 8.1, you go to taskbar Properties > Navigation > check "Show my desktop background on Start". Start now uses your desktops custom wallpaper.
Note: This will only set up the wallpaper to be what you have on your desktop.
I own a Qnix 27" monitor and was thinking about doing this as well. Is gaming on a single monitor in that setup uncomfortable?
Not at all, I have one screen which a consider my main screen and the second screen is off the side. If you are considering gaming on your set make sure one screen has natural viewing angle. Have a good evening and thanks for your question :)
Wow very neat. Well done Frederic!
Is there a significant, noticeable difference from 1080?
Yes there is, I don't think I can go back to 1080p now.
I've made the upgrade as well and it's amazing.
You listed the specs for everything but the monitors unless I missed it.
With Windows 8?!? You're a fool!
Also nobody seemed to realize that when windows 8 came out for £25 upgrade that the whole of windows would cost £25 as you could upgrade from a trial of windows 7!
Darn! I'd love to have Win8 now. I wish I could have jumped on that deal!
Can you still do that with a trial version of Windows 7?
In theory yes you can, but now windows 8 upgrade is £75. If you can't find a trial version of windows 7 you could probably torrent it and then upgrade?
I can get a windows 7 disk from one of my friends and the upgrade to windows 8 from windows 7 is ridiculously cheap here
