Please link your desk. That is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you in advance.
I will have a look on ikea website and get a few links posted
Wow awesome desk setup, I think that is really cool. Think I might do that myself, in need of a desk upgrade lol.
I would say three is too many, but u could get a bigger version of desk and longer shelf? I got one 21.5inch monitor and one 19" on my shelf
I love you dude. i've needed to get two desks, one for gaming and one for audio engineering and the prices have just been too much for me to get a new desk.. but this little set up you have will be perfect for me. thank you
Thank you! I'll probably get this within the week.
If you get this desk, don't use any monitor arms that clamp to the desk. They're made out of very light hollowcore will crack, possibly dropping your monitors. I was lucky enough to be there catch mine as it fell.
Would the shelf that OP is using fine to attach to the desk or is the shelf attached to the wall?
The shelf is attatched to the wall in the picture, but with 4(or 5--one in the middle--just to be sure) points of contact, it would probably be fine on the desk. The desk can take a little weight as long as it's not super focused. It's the leverage from the monitor arm sagging that got it. I have a 27" monitor on a ~15 pound tall stand, but it has a wide base. My computer also probably weighs around 50 pounds, and it's fine over the legs on another table in the same line.
My shelf is attached by 2 brackets to the desk, not the wall. I am going to get another bracket or 2 to make it more secure.
My bad. I didn't notice the foot of the bracket.
I know I have a lot of cable tidying to do tomorrow :)
You need a visit from the Cable Management Fairy.
That's my job for tomorrow :)
Not to sound mean or anything, but why would you spend that much money on a rubber-dome keyboard? With that kind of money you could have just as easily had purchased a nice mechanical? Did you get the Isku on sale (cheaper than $80)? I really don't mean to come off as judgemental, I was just curious about what made you choose it.
Got it for £45 :)
I have to ask, why didn't you go for the Ryos? Im eyeballing the Ryos Glow, Kave XTD and Kone XTD when I can afford a full set up.
Ryos wasn't about when I got mine, and the XTD's were't out either as far as I'm aware. I have the normal Kave though and love them.
The Kone XTD has been out at least 6 months. Ryos just came out and Kave isn't released yet. Main reason Im gettin 3 from em is cause the way they advertise won me over.
Nice job! For a first build you did a good job picking out the color scheme you want.
FYI these are the brackets that this person used.
Nice set-up. You either are tall, or the monitors are a bit too high up imo!
Marginally too high for me but it's helping improve my posture as i tend to hunch over when gaming
Eye level needs to be looking at the top of the monitor, fyi.
I have the same speakers and I love them , also I loved how much of a deal they were.
Are they good? I need a cheap pair to keep me going. Getting a new 24" monitor that might not have hdmi so I will need a set of speakers for when I'm not bothered plugging in :)
I've got the same desk! But to be honest, it is not the best kind of desk you can get. It will tend to bend after having a heavy load on it for a while. Heavy load is defined by a monitor, and you have 2 of them.
Pretty clear its your first, just looking at that horrible horrible cabel wiring. nice anyway thou
Have posted several times saying am doing it today :)
