Dual Monitor - Computer Setup

Comments

Oh, it's that really crazy episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Oh the horror. :D
Yeah, I had never seen it before. Pure insanity.
Which episode is it? Also, i don't think you understand how your 5.1 setup works...
I'd fuck the crazy out of Sammy's wife!!! Seriously.
I just saw the beginning of that one. Were they even able to give that a positive spin in the end? Those people had mental health issues, it was pretty clear 5 minutes in...
Yea they just weren't fit for running a business at all. Nice gaming setup tho!
Why do people buy surround sound systems when they clearly can't be bothered to position them properly?
Mostly because this is a work in progress as stated and I haven't gotten long enough wiring to position the rear speakers.
I have the same speakers. If you have a nice comfy office chair at your desk, mount 'em on the back of that. You can always go into the speaker properties and adjust the volume level to compensate for them being so close to you. That's what I did and just ran the cord underneath my desk and underneath my chair and then up the back. Velcroed them both to the shoulders and voila! Surround sound.
Hmmmm.. I like this idea.
It's an extremely versatile solution.
How much did the whole setup cost so far? and god i wish i had more money :<
PC+Displays $1800, Laptop $1200, Speakers $100, Mount $70, TV+Stand $1000, and the desk I bought from an old roommate for $20. So, about $4200 over the course of about a year now. I try to save up enough to buy myself something every month.
Work hard and invest wisely. Buy parts that will perform well for a while, that way you can upgrade as you go.
At least time is on my side...im 15...and making my first build soon :D
What Wallpaper is that? The fields one
IIIII spot a League of Legends wallpaper >:D
I have a rotation I use sometimes on the PC that's all League related.
Where can I get those TF2 backgrounds? Sweet set up BTW
Added them to the album.
Which monitor mount is that?
This one. Just got it in yesterday. Feels super sturdy.
Digging the mount man.... Is it custom or did you buy it?
Found it on Amazon. So far (only had it a day) it's great.
Awesome setup, friendly criticism here: Run the monitor wires down the LCD arm and as one other has mentioned figure out a good setup for your speakers. Great work and can't wait to see what you have planed next!
Great setup overall, keep us posted ;)
My friend, we have the same laptop. isn't the asus g75 amazing?!
As a current owner of a G75, I can confirm it is amazing.
Oh yes, more G75 owners! Does anyone know how to repair the LED backlights. They worked on mine for a couple days... but have now been unresponsive to the FN + F3/F4 :/ Makes me saddd
It's pretty dope. Picked it up for PAX East and got more than I expected.
I love it! Its a powerhouse.
I want to get a bigger desk, but I haven't yet found something I like.
Did you change the blue fans to green ones out of that Antec 1200 to make them match your mouse/keyboard? If you did, I bet that looks kick ass.
I didn't, but it's part of my plans for the setup.
I'd suggest Bitfenix Spectre Pro LEDs. They do a glorious job in my case and stay fairly quiet.
Just wondering, what monitors are those? _^ they look pretty good and im looking to upgrade.
I'm really digging that dual monitor set-up. What brand are they?
How do you guys even use keyboards like that? Do you really think they look good?
Are you talking about the lighting? If so it helps a tonne...besides more lights = more power, come on everyone knows that!
I press the keys and letters appear on my screen. I like the back lighting; it's aesthetically pleasing. Your opinions may vary.
