Put those speakers at ear level. Thank me later
Or buy the slanted stands (that's what I did)
4 pack of black rubber door stops does the same thing for a total of like $4 from your local hardware store. No it doesn't look like shit, you can barely notice they are there.
Which is a better and more aesthetically pleasing idea.
Do you recommend that with every speaker? i've got some shitty ones and don't put them at ear level
So... I have a few questions if that's your build. Does it work pretty well? How much can it support? I was thinking of working on a similar build next weekend.
Although I do have a power rack with bench and all the plates, this is not my personal one. Mine is a prebuilt one. They are pretty easy to build though, just need to brace the sides and get some steel end pieces.
Someone needs to do a stress test on a 2x4 power rack.
...That is some damn manly dedication.
Beautiful setup. What's the desk?
Where would you buy these? And how do you deal with the holes for the locking mechanism/eyehole? Serious question. This desk looks amazing and just the simple type of desk I've been searching for
I think what you are seeing is the lens cap to my camera. That isn't a hole.
Sweet. I didn't know you could buy doors before they got the locks put in. I'll check around my area. Is the desk pretty stable with those legs?
More stable than any I have had before, and this is the first one I have made myself. I think it has something to do with the legs essentially being L brackets.
All doors (when purchased brand new or unless otherwise specified) come without the hole for the lockset/handle. Carpenters have to drill the hole. Some salvaged or reclaimed doors still may not have a hole depending on what application it was used for.
Could use the hole for cable management perhaps.
Beautiful...you even have the cabling for the floor lamp covered as much as possible. Great job on re-purposing that door for a table as well.
Thanks! Between the cable rack drilled to the the bottom of the table, and the little white wall strips, I almost have everything hidden. Some of the cables in the outlet still droop though.
Weird thing about those, not to offend i had bose companions 3 series ii. then bought the a2's (as an upgrade) they weren't very good. I got them on sale was $120, but a floor model. Don't know if thats the reason, the bass was extremely muddy and sounded "fat". Also didn't have much clarity. (comparing to the bose) I was honestly expecting more, now im more than happy with some decent headphones. (WooDuo2)
It looks comfy but I would seriously recommend getting a new mousepad. The 50p IKEA one is so horrible.
Oh I completely agree. It is one of the worst purchases that has ever summoned my wallet from my pocket.
Best lamp ever. Foot pedal.
This seriously looks picture perfect, like something from a movie.
Strange, my brain desperately wants to swap the ai and eigh in these words.
Do you have a link for the desktop wallpaper? I am a fan of using clouds for my wallpapers.
What desk is that? and where can I buy?
Custom built, see my replies below.
Looks good. one thing I'd recommend: put the machine on the ground and free up the rest of your great desk
Maybe. I have an irrational fear of the computer overheating because of my carpet.
Very nice! This looks like a stock photo. haha.
Omg this desk is amazing. That's what I need!!!
I really like that wooden pen holder. Where did you buy it?
Some random Chinese shop downtown.
What kind of speakers are those? They would look sweet with my setup.
That's about as accurate as it gets. Haha.
Nice setup:) very basic
Very nice, but playing games doesn't make you fat. That burns calories. Eating makes you fat. So if you eat there then yes title is accurate; otherwise no.
OP may I ask what keyboard is that?
Hey hey, can you give me your totally honest review on the audioengines ? i'm very close to buying them for my cousin's birthday.
Angle your A2's upward toward your face. It makes a noticeable difference in sound quality. I bought a 4 pack of cheap black rubber door stops to prop mine up, it was pretty much the perfect angle. Also, you barely notice they are there under my black A2's.
If weight is power, overweight is overpower.
I love it. Unlike a lot of the posts here, your gaming setup is quite minimilistic - nice and clean. And I'm a sucker for a large workbench with plenty of space!
Dude...your desk is so effing nice!
Nice speakers! I have a pair myself
Looks good, disappointed with amount of apple though :p
You mean the one macbook? :P
Dammit, got excited there for a second thinking you had Linux
Ahhh thats alright then :)
