That's an awesome setup, I'm jealous.
I'm twice as jealous as i was before.
What the hell do you do for a living???, Music producer?
I make music on the side. My primary job is running an engineering department.
Like music/audio engineering, or ...
That explains why you have so many nice things then.
Any chance we can see the inside of the Prodigy?
I will give it a go once i am home
Thanks and Nice setup! I'm glad you put the specs! Quite a bit of people on this coolcomputersetups don't and it makes me either guess/ask or say fuck it and don't worry about it :-/
Thanks, i tried, but i missed a lot. Hopefully I got everything somewhere in this thread
What's you're wireless keyboard you're using with your HTPC? Worth the pennies?
It looks like the Logitech K400.
Yes, it's only 30 bucks on amazon.
Not sure if you mentioned the black thing on your desk with the big knob and sliders is. I looked through the Schiit site, but they don't have anything like it... what is it? I need one!
That is the avid artist control and avid artist mix
My god, that's like $2500! Not for me, but thanks man! Enjoy!
Those black speakers. ARE SEXY. got any suggestions for a amp with those speakers?(that is less then 150?)
The main speakers are self powered and are Events, they are for music, mixing, etc.. The white small ones in the bedroom dont need an amp, the only speakers that need an amp are the living room speakers.
...are you me? 55" Samsung LED, Red Bitfenix Prodigy at the desktop, k400 at the htpc. Great tastes! I'll hopefully put up some pictures of my gaming setup this upcoming week!
Nice, would love to see pics when they are ready
Wow what an incredible view and setup! Also a question: how do you like the Schiit paired with the 650s vs the grados?
How are those P4's and the sub for movies and TV?
This. This is what a flat should look like. Now to make significantly more money.
It's not always how much you make... it's how you spend/save it
Pretty much this. I've made 3k this month taking pictures and spent all but $500 of it on gear. I COULD live in a nice loft OR I could have a canon 50mm f/1.2.
3k month for taking pictures, please tell me more.
That sounds like an average/somewhat slow month for a professional photographer. You realize that would still be under 40k a year?
Haha, no. Did you see that NY skyline? The most expensive thing pictured is the view.
I agree completely in that regard.
Is this in New York?
Is this from jersey city/hoboken looking east?
Gorgeous technology showcased by a strong attention to minimalist design elements and phenomenal photography. What a fantastic post!
Appreciate it, thank you.
"I enjoy grey, and shades of it". Awesome setup though!
The biggie and pac pictures are what makes it for me!
Thanks man, they are by munk one
Loving the headphone stand, where did you get it?
Well, I also have HD 650s and a headset too. I don't skimp :)
What brand / model are the rolling carts that you have TV components / turntable on.
So can we be friends? Cause you have an awesome set up for two!
We already are best friends
Your place is amazing man, any chance you can give us info on those comic posters and where to get similar ones? and the whole biggie and 2pac poster deal, that's insane.
It looks like you live in a AV magazine photoshoot.
I understand, those that are downvoting probably don't
The Lyr and Bifrost, am I correct?
What interface is that for your htpc? Looks neat as hell!
It's XBMC with the Cirrusv2 skin
You guys are on point, what he said!
Yeah, I use it for my HTPC as well. It's absolutely gorgeous, I don't understand why it's not more popular. More standard options such as Confluence are ugly as hell in my opinion.
The white box is a Synology NAS. I use mine to seed torrents and store my music/video library in a central location to stream to any device I own.
Looks great - love the clean feel to it and color theme. One question though - where's the desk chair? The bed looks awfully close to the desk.
I moved it out for the photo, buts its there
New game plan, dump girl friend, live the sweet bachelor life.
Or have an awesome one like me, I dont live alone ;)
Can we get a link to the comic book art?
Love that touch. Little more expensive than I thought they would be though.
This is amazing, I am so jealous. I have a question though... How did you manage to hide the cables coming from the TV on picture #7?
Yup, through the wall and it was a pain in the ass!
You have an eye for pictures as well as home decor. Well done.
That is one sexy setup, mad props. Jealous fo' sho'.
You are a badass with badass taste
This looks so extraordinary, yet so simple. One can only envy your awesome setup.
Is that a stand or a lamp that you rest your headphones on? also, possible link to that thing?
Came here to ask this. Thanks!
Dang dude, did you win the lottery
What mousepad is that? I must know.
I... I think I love you.
Those charcoal walls are pretty nice. They really suit your setup. Good choice.
And they say money can't buy you happiness.
It can't but it can buy computer stuff and that's pretty much the same thing
You sir have inspired me to get a pad like this.
This is by far my favorite, and the most classy gaming setup post I have seen on this coolcomputersetups. I applaud you sir, and I hope that one day after graduating college that I can achieve the greatness you have.
I would KILL to have a view like that.
Nice, making the move to NYC this week. This will be some great inspiration for my place.
Good luck brother, I did the same move. If you have any questions or anything let me know, NYC is a big move and i have been there. Feel free to PM me whenever and I will try to help.
Lonely city that is difficult to move to. Make sure you get out enough to make some friends or you'll quickly become quite miserable there.
That is one sexy gaming setup
The two paintings you have... one of 2 pac and the other of big,,, what is the artist called? i have forgot the artist name but not the art,, monk something .. right???
Is your desk always that clean, or just tidied up for the pics?
When you work hard enough to get shit like that you aren't the kind of asshole that can't preform the simple task of throwing your own trash away.
I would like details on what I assume is XBMC running on your HTPC?
It is xbmc using the cirrus extended skin. I use advanced launcher to launch all my programs
I love seeing Prodigy builds and gaming setups. Nice attention to detail with the rest of your set up.
I have so much envy.
Nice setup! what camera do you use?
Is that a corded telephone?
This... Is absolutely beautiful. Props man!
The grey and black theme go well together. Nice, modern and fresh.
Whenever I picture the perfect setup in my mind it looks almost exactly like this, congratz. Mind if I ask what you do for a living to afford all this stuff?
Love the setup :) Also what is the name of your desk and where did you get it?
Ahhh! You have the mixing console that I thought wasn't real! (I've only ever seen 1 picture and couldn't find it anywhere online) What brand is that?
Avid artist mix and avid artist control
Now THAT is a computer setup!
What colors did you use for the walls? Must know.
Bedroom is benjamin moore hearthstone and living is benjamin moore gunmetal
Oh my god, it's gorgeous! How are the A5+?
That looks like an expensive fucking flat. Jealous.
Wow that's a setup.
Easily the best station I've seen.
DAMN that is sexy as hell. nice job
Gotta ask, how much is your rent? Looks really nice.
Something about this whole setup is so beautiful. I'm overly jealous and a tad in love.
I feel as though if I listed off all my desired tech, it's in this rig (except Audeze LCD-2s) other than that I love the rig.
Are you using a Filter for these pictures. or is everything just have a gray feeling to it? either way i like it.
Absolutely beautiful setup, this is what I hope to have once I have my own place. What's the HTPC software you use? XBMC?
This is one of the better set ups I have seen in a while, very nice.
Ah yes, the MPK49. I quite love the machine.
As a 17 year old with a minimum wage job, this makes me jealous, yet excited for the future.
What keyboard is that(not the logitech)?
Barney Stinson? I love it!
Where did you pick up the comic book art?
Where did you get those frames and artwork?
What is that "Valve" thing?
XBMC, you can launch steam from within it
What kind of turn table?
Nice setup. What model are the TVs? I want to buy a 55-60" smart TV and am having trouble deciding.
Looks great man. You need some colour in your place to brighten the mood though :P
Great computer setup! What do you do for a living?
You have a lot of audio related stuff, what kind of music do you make?
Mostly electronic and synthy hip/hop instrumentals
I don't even want to know
I am also planning on having one landscape and one portrait monitor. What stand did you use, I can't find one for less than $40?
There's a spot on your bedroom wall above the desk.
Amazing! Love the view too, any chance of some more pictures of your view? With a view like that i would just stare out the window 24/7
How did you get steam on xmbc?
Looks great. What kind of desk?
I see a record player vinyl and a lot of music production equipment. Do you do sample based production?
I don't, the music I make is all non-sample based. I use the record player just for listening purposes.
I absolutely LOVE the computer set up in the living room. Can we get some more shots of your XBMC setup? (I am a sucker for a beautiful UI)
Where did you get the stand under the TV (has casters)? Looks so clean.
What is the yellow speaker (sub?) in picture number 4
Sweet biggie and tupac paintings.
I know it's off-topic, but could you go a bit into how you ended up with your broadcast engineering gig?
Dude.. I'm also an engineer doing music as a hobby. I'm moving into a new place soon and this is a great inspiration! What are you using for the drum machine (MPD?) stand? Doesn't it feel flimsy when you hit the pads? Also, do you cover your instruments to keep away from dust when not in use?
Why do the shots look fake? A few of the images look rendered...
Do you know the brand/name of the paint on the walls by chance?
I have that keyboard, how long have you had yours? Do you still like it?
What's the mixer behind your keyboard?
What coffee table is that man?
The HTPC confused me. I thought I was seeing a Steambox for the first time.
