Lose that 30€ Logitech 2.1 system (I once had that, just plain awful) and get a pair of studio monitors to replace them.
Also hide the socket somehow, it looks ugly to my eye.
I think the speakers are not bad actually but I am in the process of replacing them. The socket is also annoying but there's not really much I can do about it! Also I assume your mentioning of monitors was a typo for "speakers. I could spraypaint it so it fit in more, but I'd rather not. I could also get a cover but I feel that might look even worse and they're expensive.
Not everyone wants to spend loads of money on speakers.
No kidding? But when you're putting ~1000€ (?) into your computer setup, an extra 300€ can't hurt on a long run.
Get a box to put over the outlet and paint it to match the wall.
What's wrong with the speakers? They're honestly quite good especially for the price.
Well, opinions differ. I have used those and they sound dreadfull, even compared to basic low-end laptopspeakers.
Agreed. They are certainly louder than a lot of laptops (especially my VAIO s13p which has the quietest speakers i've ever heard on a laptop) but they sound like shit.
I'm running an older set of Bowers and wilkins bookshelf speakers paired with a TDA2050 amp I built which sounds sweet especially for around $40 invested
Maybe you had a faulty pair because my old laptop had very high end speakers, dedicated subwoofer and dedicated speaker grills, not coming out of random holes or anything. My friends were pretty amazed by them compared to theirs. And I think these Logitech ones sound better!
Agreed, mine sound really good too.
Could be, could be. Still, opinions differ. My current Wharfedale Diamond 8.2's powered by a 25-year old JVC R-X350V sound infinite times better than that Logitech set, in my opinion.
Out of curiousity, what do you consider as 'very high end speakers'? 10000€<?
I meant high end speakers for a laptop :)
Oh, okay. Still, invest in audio. It's worth the money.
Nice! I have the same speakers and desk! They're both quite good but, my desk is all white.
Cool lighting I love the wide clean desk.
Wireless Charger, with an LG Google Nexus 5 on top!
Desk looks like it's about to snap in the middle. Maybe spread your stuff out.
Shit, it does! I only just realised, I don't think it's anything to do with the weight ontop of the desk as there is very little on there, not even a monitor. But I think it was the drawers as my text books were aligned to the left on the right drawer. I've distributed them between both drawers now on the opposite ends.
Sorry but where did you get your desk from if you don't mind me asking?
Not going to inconvenience myself even though I like to minimalise! It also covers up the cable management hole!
Love the setup! I would recommend that you get a mouse pad in order to minimize the scratches that will appear on the desk.
