As you are a programmer. I suggest you try out a mechanical keyboard. :)
I must agree. It makes a big difference in your typing comfort.
Wow, I was literally researching those 5 minutes ago. I tackled how they work and why they are so cool and the different Cherry MX keys.
Cool, thanks. What about the brown ones? From what I read those were pretty sweet for gaming.
Browns are also pretty good yes, But that's from my point of view, You maybe don't like the browns so that's one thing you have to figure out.
Reds are probably the best bet for you. Easy to press and more tuned for gaming (Currently using a red switch 6Gv2)
I second this. So worth it in the end. Even just a fairly cheap one, such as a Rosewill RK-9000 (that's what I have) is totally worth it.
Yeah, im definitely going to invest in one soon. It's just really hard to choose between all the switches... I might buy one of those WASD kits so i can test it out.
I have a WASD keyboard with cherry brown and absolutely love it. The build quality is excellent.
Is the G110 not a mechanical board?
I've always thought keyboards that aren't "flat" were mechanical. So the G710+ isn't a mechanical keyboard either?
The G710+ is a mechanical keyboard.
We have the same monitor and case, good taste sir.
Gosh I love that case. I own one as well.
Looks like it's more of a section machine :)
I (also) happen to have:
Cool gaming setup. Might have to get myself one of those screens, love how high it goes.
Are you happy with your graphics card?
How do you find your Siberia V2s? Ive been looking at them lately and want to know if they are worth it as they look delicious. What games do you play and how do they rate for sound in the games? Also how does the mic hold up in terms of quality?
I'm guessing you're a comp sci or engineering student?
Serious question. whats it like programming on only a single monitor?
Why would you need more?
Have your code up on your main, and any documentation you might need to reference on a secondary. I also always keep a notepad window up where I can temporarily quickly jolt down ideas or copy short blocks of code that I need to quickly reference somewhere else. If I need to be in contact with someone (email, IM, etc.) that also goes on a secondary.
I used to have two screens at work. I just feel it seems like too much space. It almost screaming "you have too little stuff open - open some more stuff NOW!"
I am CSE student as well. My home work station is two 23 inch screens. At work I have one 19inch screen. It is a world of difference. Of course you don't need the second screeen, but once you have it, it's hard to go back.
That's cool you have the same headset as SIV-HD. Nice set up man
64 bookmarks for one small screen, tangled cables and average specs. Geez. This coolcomputersetups must be NICE or something.
I just moved my PC today - i'll be sure to fix the cables.
