Wired speakers are really annoying though as the wire's never long enough to get them anywhere unless they're good home theatre speakers.
Those speakers use regular speaker wire. And the wires that are included for the surround speakers are 30ft each.
It would be better to spend the money on a better set of 2.1s or a receiver and full range speakers instead of a 4.1/5.1 that isn't properly setup and placed.
Or you can you know, cut the wires and make them longer.

Most modern games should be able to run 4K, if your GPU is up to that task in another matter entirely.
For normal use, text is a lot clearer on a 4K display.
On a side note, I didn't want a 30" display. This beast is a 24"

I've been hearing about some monitors that support 4k resolutions at 30hz and higher resolutions for gaming at 60hz. Can't remember which make or model it was but it looked awesome.

I have the Dell 30" 1600 res screens running BF4 with 2x 680 and thats my issue.... Couldn't imagine going higher res without a major jump in GPU power.

That's correct, just this monitor does not support DP v1.2 in the mini form. Found that out when using the cable supplied DP to mini DP.
So, could you then go mini DP on your video card to the full size DP on the monitor? And still get the full refresh rate of course

Honestly this depends on the games. I feel that 4k is still a bit too early to judge so I won't give my opininon on it.
Why did you decide to raid 0 the SSDs? Ice read that it can effect their performance negatively over time compared to just having them both set up normally side by side. This was a while ago though, curious if things changed.
It allows me to read/write at 1GB/s instead of the 550MB/s they claim per drive. If the drives fail, I don't keep anything of value on them since they are my OS drives. Plus I get a 480GB as an OS drive for the OS, Games and programs.
Have you speed tested them to be double the speed? When I was considering this and doing research I remember them saying there was no significant speed gain doing it with fast SSDs. I really wish I could find the articles, but I'm having trouble digging them up.

I may be a bit of an audiophile, but that doesn't mean everyone is. It goes both ways, too. I have a friend who has over 1,000 dollars into audio equipment on his rig, but uses a 1680x1050 monitor because he has terrible eyesight and can't tell the difference.
El oh el it was a cheap solution at the time to get these. I was looking for decent sound at a decent price. I have not upgraded the sound as of yet. It is one of the things on my list.
Try out Yamahas HS studiospeakers. They sound very awesome and gaming is perfect with them.
What's really bad is that you have all 5 speakers in front of you. If you're going to buy a surround setup, at least place the rear speakers somewhere behind you or off to the side somewhere...
