Watercooling Monitor - Computer Setup

Comments

That thing is HUGE!! Dear lord, you could fit a family in that thing. Nice setup though!
Really sexy machine, i love the whole setup! also.. can't f**king wait for Witcher 3 :D
Thanks man :D and yeaaaaah Witcher 3 is my most anticipated game of next year. CD PROJEKT RED are just like the BEST devs out there at least I think so :D
I would have to agree. Well worked out stories, great graphics, no DRM when purchased through their own store and focusing on PC and releasing ports that have been said to be really damn good as well.
They also have released a new combat system completely revamped for Witcher 2. It was full of bugs but they fixed it and tweaking it and that all for free. The moment they announce the Limited Edition it's a insta buy. No DRM is a blessing. Some devs should take a hint from these guys !
The only thing that made me play The Witcher, was their CGI trailer.. i don't know what it is about them, but they are so awesome! :) i love the one for the 3rd aswell! so cool
The first one was amazing. It aged well imo. They know how to pull you in and make you dream. I love it !
What are the specs? That's one sick setup!
Here are the specs and thank you :D
Yeah I know it's kinda low...planning to get 2 x 16GB sets :) Just ....kind of ran out of cash lol. But for the games...8GB is more than enough. Though...can't wait to have my 32GB! Btw thanks for the easier to read version :D
8 GB= a ok for gaming
Hahahahaha :p yeah exactly.
I spent 350 dollars on my self built rig(punches minecraft in the face with 250 fps) and all i do is; youtube, coolcomputersetups, and read...my laptop everything else...my xbox is gaming -_-
I used to be on consoles too.... Then I met steam. Pc is.... Mind-blowing. =) still own consoles for exclusives though :D
Awesome! :D you're not going to regret it let me tell you :D
I wouldn't go get a 600W. That's my biggest regret. If I want to add in a second GPU, I'd need to buy another one and at least a 800W PSU.
Honestly with 3 Titans if all you do is game on it I actually hate you.
Me and a friend of mine are looking into a rendering program called octane. =) trust me gaming is not the only thing that I do on that setup =) thanks for speaking your mind!
If he wants to run next gen titles with totally maxed out settings on 3 1440p monitors then 3 titans are totally legit. He's gonna be solid until ps5 games come out.
How did you only spend 350 bucks on a machine?
Depending on what you're doing, 8GB ram is perfectly reasonable for 3 Titans. Most modern FPS can make use of 3 Titans decently, but won't have any use at all of more than 8GB RAM.
Oh, and how're you liking the case?
The case is huge and awesome...but maybe too huge. I'm going to get rid of it when I get my Cross desk. And now the prices have decreased so much for shipping. At least to EU?
Getting rid of it?
Damn.... sick build and setup!
Thank you dude :D nice to hear people liking it!
Tests have shown that RAM over 8GB is pointless. The increase in game is very very small. We are taking about only a few %.
True but I'm not only gaming :) I'd like to use Photoshop and Solidworks and some other programs that could eat a lot of RAM :) But you're totally correct!
Won't it be more future proof? I mean obviously the guy can spend a bit extra to get some RAM
More ram doesn't necessarily mean better or future proof. I can always add more in the future though that's for sure and that's my plan ^
Actually, I'd argue against getting old/frivolous ram for the future. The idea of future proof is to allow your computer/build to last longer. You can always add RAM, making it future proof. There isn't an opportunity cost, because not buying the ram doesn't hurt the future build.
Hm. That's true. The only counter to that is having limited slots for RAM. Eventually you are not going to be able to add, and will have to replace
Since the Rampage IV Extreme has 8 slots I should be totally fine :)
Not if you have a lot of stuff open. Having more memory than you utilize is useless, but people have different needs.
I said "game". Read again.
Which is why I pointed out that you can have other programs than games that do use a lot of memory.
I am fully aware of that.
Say that to my motherfuckin' animatin' and video editin' face!
Even if you only game you could still use it to dump games onto a ram disk and have ridiculously fast load times. Is it worth the money? Not really if you have an SSD, but you can definitely make use of it.
My guess is that they might be in a raid array.
^ CORRECT ! :D
Ow....then I might well go straight to it. I just installed a RAID 6 of 8 x 3TB drives. The other 3TB is for other temporary stuff etc. What do I store? Anime, movies, series..ya know ;) :p
Hahaha thanks dude :D
You should consider entering the Case Labs build-out contest on OCN. Might be able to win it :P!
Lol don't think my rig really qualifies that level of awesome....but I'll try :) Thanks man!
3 titans? Man. I want money.
Damn, 22 fans? I know they're quiet but just how quiet are they?
Very. Sadly I haven't mounted my watercooling monitor system into it. The Aquaero 5 PRO from Aquacomputer. That could regulate it all. Let's just say it's MUCH quieter than ANY system I've heard that's on aircooling.
Do I dare even ask how much that cost? :O
You can dare but will I answer? :p
Probably not. Because we'd all kill you and steal your job! :D
I'll guess but if I get it right I can have one of your titans.
Ow too bad :p maybe next time? :p It's sadly much more :(
I knew it $7,000 -10,000
Haha :p That's not really specific :p
22 fans? Holy crap. Is it loud?
Not at all ;) Almost can't hear them :D
Reading a spec list and seeing the word "Titan" is like getting a poke in the eye.
Why is it a poke? =(
It's a good thing. You can't look past it without it grabbing your attention.
Aaah k in that way :D thanks :D glad you like it! Well...Titans is a way of getting out of the cycle of graphic cards that always have to renewed. I don't have a number anymore but a name. And imo that's just fine!
8gb is fine and dandy.
Not if you have an $8,000 setup
Admittedly spending fraction of that would of been wise, although there is a little price hike between rams, especially from 8 to 16 and then onwards to 32.
How did you fuck up 3 words?
I'm on mobile and I have big fingers.
Oh I feels ya brah.
Thanks for your input =) I plan to! ^
This is the first gaming setup post to make me actually exclaim "holy sh*t!" when I noticed the tower. Hah!
Hahahaha thanks man :D It is indeed fairly large. lol and that's an understatement
I think I found op's case... In perspective...
To fit 3x Titans and all that water cooling I guess it has to be that big. Wow.
It's pretty huge yes. You can mount 3 titans in any board that has enough PC I 8x or 16x lanes but ....the reservoir takes a lot of room. And the rads lol
Next case is going to be rack mount right?
I was thinking about that myself... I didn't like the large gap between tabletop and space for the chair to go under the desk. It looks awesome though. You going to make one yourself?
That last one on the right could probably easily fit more than one full-fledged system in it.
Indeed. It looks more like a mini-fridge than a computer case.
Beautiful setup, hopefully i can build one your level someday. You can tell that this rig actually gets used, unlike some megabuilds that never turn on for fear of getting dusty. Also, i like your casual array of $300+ of fittings on your desk :p can you give specs on the rads and gpus?
Hey man :) Thanks ! Trust yourself and you'll achieve it fairly quickly don't worry :D hahahaha what's the point of building and spending so much when you're not going to use it? =/ I love gaming and I love doing it right :D Lol I shouldn't have put them on the picture (the fittings I mean :p) xD But it's for my next project :) My next case ^ The rads are 2 XSPC 480 + 1 XSPC 360 rad and my GPU's 3 x Asus GTX Titans
Do you, perhaps, enjoy the Witcher series?
You got that ....right? :p I love the series. And I prefer to have 4 wallpapers of the same game than just several wallpapers of different games. And also...my computer was built with taking on the ultra quality challenge of The Witcher 3 "
Dude. That PC has a ridiculous amount of power. How do you utilize it? Gaming? Work? Have you even hit 60% of its max load?
What's so ridiculous about it when you want to play the latest games at ultra running 60 FPS or as close as you can to that number in normal OR in 3D and you play surround? :)
Ridiculous in a good way. That machine seems beast. Congrats on the build.
Wasn't being mean or anything :p just trying to explain why I built what I built :D thanks man! appreciate the positive feedback ! ;) it's awesome.
That is one mighty setup! What chassi is that and what did you use to setup the monitors?
Thanks !! ^ It's a Caselabs ST10-X with pedestal. It's a mountain. And I used Freedom WSGF Edition Ultimate Desk Stand + wall mount bar. Such quality you'll never be disappointed
Thanks for the compliment. We've tried to put out a good product.
Seriously you're commenting on my gaming setup ? Your product is OFF the charts! I was a bit worried about it holding the four 27 inches but holy smokes is it good. My friend was a bit doubtful but when he helped me put them on he was like this is great stuff. My cousin wants the same. I like to advertise good quality products btw ;) :)
Wow, really impressive! Do you mind me asking how you can afford this, and how expensive was it? I am just curious if it was SUPER expensive or just pretty expensive, and how you afford it. Again, really impressive setup, I dream of some day being able to build something like that myself!
Will just say that when you begin with 3 Titans anything that was inexpensive has just gone to ULTRA expensive =/
Haha yeah, I can understand that.....I really hope that it works and that it was worth it!
Can you tell us a little bit of the experience with those cooling systems? to me they seem very extravagant, but you sure pull it off interestingly. What is the performance? Is it substantially better? Did you had to void warranties? Also do you oc?
Nobody really needs watercooling. It's beautiful to look at, temps are lower (increased life); higher OC since you can push the Vcore a bit, it isn't loud at all. Well...I think I did void some warranties but then again..It's worth it. And yes I do OC ^ Not really needed but it's always very fun to do. I mean I would never go back to aircooling if that's what you wanted to know :)
Haha well sort of I just wanted to know if this kind of pipe systems would offer something extra over regular water cooling blocks. But I get it now, pretty sick dude. You might get frontpaged.
Not a chance I get frontpaged :) There are a LOT more sicker builds than mine out there ;) And I'm just happy some people like my build ^ Well the advantage over acrylic tubing over regular tubing is that it NEVER changes colors or darkens or whatever. :)
Wow...okay xD thanks for the heads up ! :D
Really like your tmnt secret of the ooze theme haha
Haha thanks man :D
I'll be ready with my mop when you're done haha :p Thanks man!
FYI -- You can see the pictures you blacked out in the reflection in the case's window. (pic 2)
Thanks man ;) At least it's really not that visible xD but yep I forgot that part xD
So how much for the electronics in total? tower, mouse/keyboard, and all monitors? Just so I have something to shoot for.
I saw your post on redharbinger forums...I am jelly of this setup.
Hahaha :D great to see someone on here that knows the forums :D Thanks !
Sick setup you have there. If you don't mind me asking; how are your monitors mounted?
How many mm of rad do you have in there with the pedestal and all?
2x 480 + 1x 360 !
I have another 360 waiting for when my Red Harbinger desk comes along :)
That's going to be incredible.
Thanks! I hope I can pull it off!
It's...it's glorious. This is what I aspire to one day. Eccellent work
What do you do for a living?
Answer people's questions ^
Customer service rep? CEO of customer's reps owner person?
I LOVE the setup!!!! What stand are you using for the three monitors, and how is the forth being held up? I have three currently and would like to add a forth, just like your setup! :D
Looked at your PC, need to go change pants now.
The inside of the case looks gorgeous. Well done, my friend.
Thank you ! I don't like the cabling color :( But since I wasn't going to keep the tower I decided against getting matched sleeving. It'll be MUCH better in my next case ^
Well my setup looks like shit.
How much did all of that cost? Looks amazing.
A whole lot of effort! Thanks man ;)
So I heard you like the witcher.
You heard well my young apprentice.
Do you really use the gamepad thing that much? I see them for sale and they seem comical almost, the only thing I could understand really is like WoW or LoL for the hotkeys.
Once you get used to it you'll never see gaming the same way. I play WoW (casually) and Dota 2 (still have to configure it) but with Torchlight 2 or Diablo 3 or some other games it's just awesome!
So mostly like MMO games then? Or would you consider it pretty good for just online games as well? I could see something like this for BF3 or something, honestly, after you get used to it a bit.
Oh yes any FPS is good too. Going to use it for Bf4 too =) really... You can concentrate on many more buttons while staying concentrated. It needs getting used to but once you're used to it. You'll never leave it alone ;-)
Huh, well cool, I appreciate the responses. Hope the rig serves you well.
With pleasure. Anytime. If you ever want to talk or something just pm me (I'm new to coolcomputersetups don't know if it's possible) but thanks for all the questions man! I'm sure it'll serve pretty well =)
I like your kind of crazy
I like crazy. It's cool :D
Really, really sick setup! I love the colour scheme, and the overall liquid cooling! It's a beast!
Thank you :D hahaha you must love my rig more than I do. I don't like the cabling color. But that's going to change in my next 'case' :D thank you so much for your so positive feedback!!!
If you don't mind me asking, about how much does it cost to live the dream?
A lot.. I've stopped counting after my titans... But.... Pick your ideal parts. Save up and you're going to get there man!
Sick looking case. What u need now.....is a dining room table, a bed, kitchen appliances and you are good to move in.
I totally understand.... I'm actually going to sell it soon to have some space for my other case.... The Cross desk from Red Harbinger Inc. Now that's a case. :D And btw... Have the bed and dining table all set up. I'm Ready :D
Mind me asking what you paid for the case??
I don't actually remember.... But if you really want to you could go take a look at the case labs website. I'm not at home so getting you a link might be a bit difficult but... It's the ST10 X
Am I the only one who expected to see a rack full of IBM POWER servers?
Mental. Amazing setup. But now I need four screens.
Thanks man :D haha. 4 screens is the best. 3 for surround and 1 to monitor the rest. It's essential :D get the most out of your pc :D
Any chance of an image of the behind, to see how the monitors are all mounted/arranged?
Mmh I could make a couple more picture. But it's already evening. Lightning might be really bad. No issues at all man! I'll see what I can do! :D
You should invest in a gaming mousemat. They're not that expensive compared to three titan's I promise!
I have 2 already...but not satisfied with the Roccat alumic. Going to try the SteelSeries one. But thanks for noticing btw ;)
This thing is a monster.
Oh stop :3 :D
That looks cozy as fuck.
3 x VG278H and one BENQ XL2720 T :)
I still can't understand where people get money for this? I'm in high school and want to build a gaming PC but don't have the money.
Ughhh your haf stacker is beautiful, what do you have in the top case and bottom case ? reservoirs and radiators, another PC or hard drives ?
Hey man, it isn't a HAF stacker :) But a Caselabs ST10-X :D I have a 480 on top and a 480 on the bottom.
I love your gaming setup. That is one sexy computer, absolutely massive, but epic nonetheless.
Thank you so much man :D
This is amazing! How did you go about water-cooling and getting it to look so sexy? I was thinking about looking into it: I've built a computer but now want to try to put in water cooling and possibly some cold cathode LEDs. Are there any tips or websites you could recommend for a novice water cooler?
Being in the middle of a build myself, this has prob $2k in cooling alone, I'm estimating the total build cost at about $8500. $10k with monitors and stand.
...Was that liquid cooled ram?
Now get some less shitty monitors.
All I could think was OOOO 4 monitors must be a bad ass.... zzzzzzzzz sorry just in a bad mood. nothing new!
How did your cables change color?
Bad ass man sweet setup
Great looking system. I don't know anything about that, but I do have a question. What are the neon green tubes?
Amazing rig on both specs and looks, don't listen about the ram, 8gb is fine for now.
How Quiet/Loud is that thing when gaming?
I don't have a decibel meter at my house sadly :/ I might buy one to see for myself. I'm also interested. But it's not loud AT all. It's quieter than my other PC running stock and on air with NOTHING in background. It's amazing.
Hubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubadahubada is that an STH10? Also what would you say you spent on the case and everything inside it plus the 4 monitors?
A lot ? :p
