10 Monitor - Computer Setup

Comments

I actually physically cringed a little. Just thinking about using the mouse with my left hand feels wrong.
Yeah, I'm left handed and it's still bizarre to think of. Everyone's different though.
Same. Although I use trackpads with my left hand for some reason. Everyone is different!
I'm the same. It might be because on public PC's the mouse is on the right by default so we adapt to use it that way. Since trackpads are centred there's nothing stopping us from naturally using lefty.
I find I have good enough control on the mouse that id want fast actiom time on the keyboard ( also, wasd is on the left so...)
I guess I'm the odd one lol. I am left handed, however, I use the mouse and trackpad with my right hand AND I type mostly with my right hand...yet for virtually everything else in my life I use my left hand.
I am the exaxt same way do everything lefty except use a pc and throw.
Whoa, I'm left handed and I can't imagine throwing with my right hand. I look full retard. My handwriting looks like I should be right handed though (baaaaad)
I'm right handed, but grew up using a mouse with my left hand because my Dad's left handed. It wasn't until my school got computers that I realised I was in the minority! I can use a mouse right handed perfectly fine, it just feels more comfortable in my left.
Same with me, only it was my mother. It's a real pain in the ass not being able to use wasd sometimes or find a decent mouse.
I can second not being able to find a decent mouse, though Logitech do some nice ambidextrous gaming mice. I just use the keyboard arrow keys, plus numpad and Del/End/PgDn etc for binding.
Its the right handed dream station if you catch my drift...
I fell and cut my right palm pretty bad leaving me with a bunch of stitches in it so for the past few weeks I've been leftying it up. It's not that bad after a few days, it's just shitty because the MX518 is a right handed mouse.
I am left handed and this drives me crazy for some reason. I can't imagine having the change every computer I come into contact with because I was too stubborn to learn how to do something correctly the first place. Same things for left handed people playing reverse drum sets.
I'm also left handed, and use my mouse on the left hand side. I just wanted to ask how you cope with playing games on your computer?
I usually use ESDF instead of WASD and move the keyboard over a little towards the right side of my desk.
I go all the way over to ijkl, it's very comfortable for fps as you don't need to move the keyboard from your natural seated position. Only downside is for games like wow with lots of key binds as you have less available number keys and key modifiers like ctrl/alt are harder to press.
That still seems to me like the best route to go. Heck, in some ways it seems better than the default set up.
I'll have to give that a try, sounds like a good idea, thanks!
I use the arrow keys myself and the key surrounding it. I like having a bit of empty space between them.
That's what I do at the minute, it's just it seems a bit awkward trying to reach for other keys, and my hands are bloody massive.
I love everything about this except for the lack of cable management for your PC.
Yeah it physically hurt a bit, especially since he has a good case for it.
Is that mousepad the DX-1000EX?
Is this mousepad kind of like a traditional mousepad? i don't like the slippery kind.
Yeah, those weird hard Razer mats are fucking weird, I don't like'em. I'll take my soft cloth one any day :)
Where can I buy one?
Do you by chance know where I can get that desk? lol
Get those speakers on ear level, You will thank me later.
Got mine on ebay from dreamseller, for 320 bucks delivered. No dead pixels and some barely noticeable backlight bleed on the top left that can only be seen when the screen is pitch black. The stand was complete garbage though.
I got mine from greensum for like 280 delivered. Only backlight bleed on the bottom center (you can only see it during pitch black, which is all the time during movies)
It wasn't too bad, I'm using some swiveling arm mount I got from amazon for 20 bucks.
You really should get the tower elevated off the floor... Even a nice piece of wood stained to match the desk would work well.
This is solid advice, carpet suffocation and dust are the worst.
What speakers are they?
I've never seen a lefty using the left hand for the mouse. And I'm a lefty by myself. Looks very strange to me :D
LOVE the setup dude. Seriously. I love simple, clean setups more than gigantic 10 monitor setups. Looks great.
I love being left handed. Razer Deathadder left handed edition + das model s ultimate = nobody wants to use my computer.
Lefthanded here. Desk work I alternate between my right and left hand. Gaming though I've always played right handed.
Good taste with the chair and speakers. Is that a B sied Aeron?
Thanks, yeah it's a B
Is the monitor huge or are the speakers tiny?
So the answer is both.
I've always wondered how left handed people position their hands on the keyboards.
I like how you put your steam buddies on the right side when you are left handed.
I LOVE that mouse! I've been using one since the mid 2000's.
Dat mouse bro. i love that mouse. i've been through 3 of them. cheap, solid mice. my wife is using one right now!
Do you have a link to the deskpad?
That is a beast of a chair.
Must be from the uk huh? i can't find that mat in the states to save my life
I have the same mouse, it's awesome.
That looks nice, 10/10 would enjoy using.
You must fap a lot to have your entire setup left handed.
Love your style. Dat Aeron, how is it? Dat Qnix.
Can we see how you use the computer when gaming, you weirdo?
